ICSK Khaitan Hosts “Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani”: An Interschool Patriotic Song Competition on the eve of Martyrs’ Day
The Indian Community School Kuwait, Khaitan organized Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani, an interschool patriotic song competition on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 to pay tribute to the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in the service of their nation.
The participating teams were named after the legendary leaders namely Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Veer Savarkar, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Sardar Patel and Lokmanya Thilak. The enthusiastic group of vibrant students delivered soul-stirring performances one after the other, celebrating the spirit of patriotism. The event also showcased a special performance by the talented and dynamic singers of ICSK Khaitan, the winners of the Lulu India Utsav 2025 patriotic song competition.
An expert panel of judges, including Mr. Habib Muttichoor, Ms. Pavithra Neeraj, Ms. Sindhu Devi Ramesh, and Ms. Prerna Shirsath, evaluated the performances. Indian Education School, Kuwait secured the Winner's position, while Delhi Public School, Fahaheel claimed the Runner-up position. The winners were honoured by Mr K. G Shirsath, Principal ICSK Khaitan and Ms Sushmeeta Prakash, Vice Principal ICSK Khaitan. Mr. Shirsath congratulated the winners and participants for their dedication and efforts.
The event concluded with a heartfelt tribute to India’s martyrs, inspiring students to uphold the legacy of courage and unity. Malavika Vinod was the student emcee for the day.
