FAIPS HONOURS SCHOLARS AT SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY
FAIPS DPS, a leading educational institution in Kuwait since 1995, has been honouring its meritorious performers in the scholar badge award function every year. The prestigious Scholar Badge Ceremony, though briefly interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic was reintroduced last year with renewed enthusiasm. The ceremony made its return on 28th April 2025 to felicitate the academic excellence of the students of Grades 8, 9, 11, and IGCSE for the year 24-25. The glittering function, held in the school auditorium was graced by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Lakshitha Pradeep Ratnayake, Ambassador of SriLanka to Kuwait..
After a respectful salutation to the nation followed by the Kuwait National Anthem, the recitation of the Holy Quran, and its translation. the Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli led the prominent dignitaries to the ceremonial lighting of the lamp symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and dispelling of darkness. The coordinators of Grades VIII, IX and XI were also invited to do the honours, against the backdrop of the sublime melody of veena recital by Moutika Manikandan and Mirudagam by Ramana Ramachandran
The Head Boys of the Senior Council, Vyom Mehta and Khlood Nawaz, then took the center stage and extended a formal welcome to the esteemed guest, extolling His Excellency Mr.Lakshitha Ratnayake’s distinguished credentials, whose steadfast commitment to international relations, cultural exchange, and goodwill has earned him admiration far and wide. The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, addressed the gathering, offering words of encouragement to students and urging families to continue supporting their ward’s academic journey.
The ceremony gained momentum with a spectacular display of well-coordinated and synchronized items showcasing the rich and multifarious talents of FAIPS students. It began with a melodious blend of regional Indian songs, performed by our talented students, followed by a graceful classical dance performance representing storytelling tradition, and devotion. The cultural extravaganza concluded with an energetic and symbolic Sri Lankan dance, beautifully capturing the spirit of the nation.
Following this, the honourable Chief Guest, His Excellency, Mr Lakshita Pradeep Ratnayake enlightened the audience with his words of wisdom, and was presented with a token of appreciation from Principal, Mr Ravi Ayanoli.
As the much- awaited segment of the award ceremony drew closer, the scholars lined up to receive their token of hard work as a testimony to their relentless efforts and dedication throughout the academic year. . One by one, the awardees walked onto the stage, heads held high, as they received their scholar badge and certificate from the dignitaries Principal, Vice Principals and the coordinators. It was a proud moment for the parents to see their ward grow in academic stature.
To conclude the ceremony, Senior Council Heads Jatan Shah and Zoya Kulsum expressed their gratitude to the Chief guest, Principal, supportive parents and hardworking team members whose efforts brought the entire program to life. This remarkable event culminated in a resounding success.
