IMA Kuwait Felicitates the Meritorious Students in Kuwait

2.5The Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, under the patronage of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs (Department of Foreign Relations), hosted its Grand Annual Students’ Felicitation & Career Guidance Ceremony to honor Indian Students who achieved Academic Excellence in their 10th and 12th Grade Board Examinations.

The Event was held on Friday, 30th May 2025, at the prestigious Al Awqaf Auditorium, Reggae, and witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of Students, Parents, Educators, and Distinguished Guests. This Annual Initiative by IMA Kuwait continues to promote Academic Excellence, Educational Empowerment, and Career Guidance for the Youth of the Indian Expatriate Community in Kuwait.

An Evening of Honor and Enlightenment

The program commenced with the opening of the verification counters at 4:45 PM, ensuring an organized and welcoming experience for all attendees. The formal program began at 5:30 PM sharp, in the presence of distinguish Guest, Dignitaries, Principals and Proud Families.

In a powerful keynote session, Mr. Faizy Rahman, Centre In-Charge at the Centre for Training and Academic Guidance (CTAG), New Delhi, addressed the audience on the theme:

“Emerging Trends in Education: Pathway to What After 12th Standard”

His thought-provoking discourse explored modern educational paradigms, global career trends, and the importance of strategic decision-making in the post-secondary academic journey. Students and Parents alike were deeply engaged, gaining clarity and confidence about the road ahead.

Guest of Honor for the Event Fr. James Tuscano, Principal Don Bosco (IEAS) School delivered a heartfelt and thought-provoking address to the students. Emphasizing the pivotal roles they are poised to undertake in their future journeys, he reflected on the tireless efforts of parents and teachers in shaping their growth and guiding their pursuit of excellence. Fr. James passionately articulated the true essence of education—not merely as academic achievement, but as a lifelong source of empowerment, purpose, and motivation. In an emotional tribute, he urged students to remember and honor those who stood by them—especially their mothers, whose silent sacrifices, from preparing nourishing meals to offering unwavering support, have been instrumental in their success. He concluded by beautifully likened a mother’s devotion to a divine presence on Earth, nurturing and sustaining her child through every stage of life.

Mr Mohammad Ali - Coordinator Community department Ministry of Islamic Affairs Kuwait, also graced the Event by his presence who congratulated the students and acknowledged IMA’s efforts in hosting this special event to honor the Meritorious Students

Recognizing Brilliance – Felicitation of Meritorious Students

The Speeches were followed by the much-anticipated ‘Facilitation Ceremony’.

160 Top Ranked Students were selected on basis of their Merit, after strict scrutiny & evaluations of all Registered Students (85% being set as cut-off mark for registration) verified through their mark sheets submitted via an online link circulated during event promotion.

Each Awardee was called on stage and honored with a Certificate of Excellence and a Medal of Appreciation by the distinguished Guests & Speakers in recognition of their Outstanding Academic Achievements. Top 10 Students in each category (Grade- X & XII) were additionally presented with a Commemorative Memento recognizing their Stellar Performances.

‘Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Student of the Year Award’, was awarded to below 2 Top Scoring Students:

  • Aniruddh Vimal Shivan, from ICSK Sr School, Std X, with 98.6%
  • Anam Anwar Kazi, from ICSK Sr School, Std XII, with 98.4%

Applause echoed through the auditorium as each student stepped forward to receive accolades for their hard work, determination, and success. The atmosphere was filled with Pride and Emotion, as families witnessed the culmination of years of their Dedication and Effort. All the attendees enthusiastically congratulated these young talents, acknowledging their achievements through applause and best wishes for their future endeavors.

Gratitude & Acknowledgements

Mr. Mohammad Umar, the President of IMA Kuwait, presented mementos to the Guests of Honor appreciating their unwavering support to the Event. He also thanked all Parents and School Principals in his concluding speech for their attendance and active participation in the program. He extended IMA’s heartfelt congratulations to all achievers and expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of the Young Scholars He also thanked & congratulated the Event Organizing team led by Mr Riyaz Ahmad for the relentless efforts leading to the successful & well organized accomplishment of the Event. Special thanks were extended to the Al-Awqaf Auditorium Authorities for their continuous support.

The Event commenced with Recitation and Translation of Holy Quran by Master Abdullah Ahmed and conducted by Mr Parwez Hanif.

Tea and Snacks were served to the attendees during tea break. Children Snacks Boxes were distributed at the End.

Ceremony stood as a glowing tribute to Academic Dedication and was a reaffirmation of IMA’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and educational excellence within the Indian Expatriate Community.

IMA Kuwait, an Indian socio-religious organization, operates under the patronage of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs Kuwait. It focuses on providing a platform for the spiritual and social enhancement of expatriates living in Kuwait through various programs and social gatherings. It looks forward to organizing more beneficial programs in the future, catering to the needs of the expatriate community, especially the Indian diaspora.
