FAIPS Brings Home Coveted KITCO Quiz Cup
The 29th edition of the KITCO Interschool Quiz 2025 was held on Friday, 19th September, at the Innova International School, Mahboula. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 36 teams representing 18 Indian schools in Kuwait.
FAIPS secured a resounding victory by amassing a remarkable 150 points in the finals. The winning team, comprising Swajit Biswas (Grade VIII) and Adithi Bipin (Grade VII), showcased exceptional knowledge and composure, ultimately clinching the title in style.
In the preliminary round, the FAIPS teams stood out by scoring the highest points among all teams. The second team, represented by Gerson Franklin (Grade VIII) and Jude Saju (Grade VII), finished second in the prelims. However, in accordance with competition rules, which allow only one team per school in the finals, the second team could not participate. Their outstanding performance was acknowledged and praised by the quizmaster, Mr. Barry O’Brien.
Mr. O’Brien, a renowned quizmaster, was accompanied by his daughter, Ms. Riasa O’Brien, an accomplished quizmaster and educator in her own right, kept the event lively, engaging, and intellectually stimulating.
FAIPS played tactfully and steadily climbed to the top, eventually securing a commanding 150 points. Their victory was not just a display of brilliance but also a testament to the school’s enduring legacy in the quizzing arena.
The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, congratulated the winners on behalf of the school management, commending their phenomenal achievement. This victory not only highlights the students’ brilliance but also reflects the dedication of the senior student mentors and Quiz club teachers, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare the team. This stupendous win reinforces FAIPS’s reputation as a powerhouse in the quizzing circuit, continuing its legacy of excellence and intellectual achievement.
