The Indian Community School, Kuwait, celebrated the grand success of its ACCA students with a splendid and dignified ACCA Award Ceremony, held on 25th September 2025 at the Indian Community School, Senior. The evening marked a historic milestone for ICSK, honoring 39 students who completed various levels of the globally recognized ACCA qualification which included 4 ACCA Affiliates, 4 B.Sc. Honours in Applied Accounting degree holders from Oxford Brookes University, 4 achievers of the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, and 27 Diploma in Accounting and Business recipients.
The occasion was graced by an esteemed gathering of luminaries from the diplomatic, academic, and corporate world. H.E. Noshrevan Lomtatidze, Ambassador of Georgia to Kuwait graced the occasion as the Chief Guest accompanied by Mr. Ahmad Bilal Manzoor, Regional Business Relationship Manager – ACCA Middle East, Mr. Ahmed Patharia, Financial Planning & Analysis Cluster Lead (Gulf), British Council, Mr. Zubair Patel, Partner and Head of Tax – KPMG, South Asia & Caspian Region, Mr. Tuhin Chaturvedi, Tax Partner – RSM Kuwait, Mr. Salim Desai, Group CFO – Al Razzi Holdings, and Mr. Junaid Ansari, Director, Head of Investment Strategy & Research – Kamco Invest as the special guests.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included Mr. Luka Shiukashvili, First Secretary of the Georgian Embassy in Kuwait, Ms. Meghana Jayaprakash, Regional Business Relationship Manager – ACCA Middle East, and Mr. Sashi Gosh, Head of Corporate Communication – KPMG Kuwait.
Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rehiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Azarhuddin Amer Mohammed, Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees and Mr. Vinu Kumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, along with Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK, Mr. Gangadhar Sirsath, Principal of ICSK Khaitan, and Mr. Rajesh Nair, Principal of ICSK Amman adorned the evening with their presence.
The ceremony began with a soulful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Master Zain Abdul Shakur, followed by the national anthems of Kuwait and India, filling the hall with pride and unity. A warm welcome address was delivered by Dr. V. Binumon, congratulating the achievers and advising them to set clear goals, nurture brilliant dreams, and believe in themselves. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was conducted by the Chief Guest, accompanied by Dr. V. Binumon, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.
The audience was then treated to a graceful Tandava performance by the School Dance Troupe, which blended rhythm and energy to depict resilience and determination.
The esteemed Chief Guest, H.E. Noshrevan Lomtatidze in his address quoted Thomas Jefferson’s famous words, “The harder I work, the more luck I gain,” and stressed the values of hard work, perseverance, and dedication, while also speaking on the strong ties between Georgia, India, and Kuwait.
The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of the awardees. The ACCA Affiliates – Mr. Adithyan Anandi, Ms. Ashna Anilkumar, Ms. Bushra Jamshaid, and Ms. Fatima Abdul Latif – were awarded certificates and mementos by the Chief Guest.
Mr. Ahmad Bilal Manzoor, representing ACCA Middle East, praised the discipline, determination, and sacrifices of the achievers, encouraging them to embody three values – vision, resilience, and making a difference. He presented awards to the recipients of the B.Sc. Honours in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University – Mr. Saad Waseem Bajwa, Ms. Heba Tufail Kayani, Mr. Mohammad Abdul Latif, and Ms. Mirza Rida.
The cultural program gained a special charm with the enchanting presentation of Hridaya Gītam by the school choir Swaranjali. The melodious blend of voices accompanied by soothing music created a captivating atmosphere that resonated with every listener.
Further adding to the evening’s richness, Mr. Ahmed Patharia from the British Council FP & Cluster Lead Gulf congratulated the awardees and reminded them of the importance of not only technical mastery but also noble thinking and integrity. He presented the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business awards to Ms. Manal Tufail Kayani, Ms. Aysha Manaal, Ms. Zoha Sajjad, and Mr. Imad Khan.
The cultural vibrance of ICSK shone throughout the evening. A soothing instrumental interlude on the violin and keyboard created a serene mood, while later the school’s dance troupe electrified the stage with a hip-hop performance “Rhythm Nation,” showcasing the energy and dynamism of youth. Adding to the charm, Master Nabahan’s solo performance ‘Aatma Raga’ captivated the audience with its soulful melody.
Industry leaders including Mr. Zubair Patel Partner, Head of Tax KPMG ME, South Asia, Caspian, Mr. Tuhin Chaturvedi Tax Partner RSM Kuwait, Mr. Salim Desai Group CFO Arrazi Holdings, and Mr. Junaid Ansari Director Head of Investment Strategy, KAMCO shared their words of wisdom, highlighting the international recognition of the ACCA qualification as a passport to global careers, the importance of lifelong learning, and the need to continuously upgrade skills. They presented the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business awards to the 27 recipients: Ms. Aliya Asif Ahmed, Ms. Suhaila Haseen Sirajudeen, Ms. Sakina Bharuchwala, Mstr. Sankar Suraj, Mstr. Aditya Ullas Nair, Mstr. Jai Akash Manickam Durairaj, Ms. Aafiya Asif Koth, Ms. Sakina Patharia, Mstr. Mohammed Shamil, Ms. Anab Abdul Kadir Parkar, Ms.Thrisha Vinod Kaikolom, Ms. Munteha Sajjad, Ms. Ann Mariam, Ms. Fatima Maqsood, Ms. Eman Amjad, Ms. Areej Asnain, Ms. Sheza Siraj, Mstr. Nawaf Gaus Mohamed Parkar, Ms. Jawaria Jamshaid Ali, Ms. Mariam Jamshaid Ali, Ms. Amina Rashid Sadiq, Mstr. Saad Tahir Qazi, Mstr. Jaya Kiran, Mstr. The highlight of the evening was the experience sharing by Ms. Fatima Abdul Latif, an ACCA Affiliate, who described joining ACCA as the smartest decision of her life, advising fellow students to stay focused on academics and career-building. The tireless efforts of the mentors – Mr. Aqeel Ahmed, Mr. Shafqat Hussain, Ms. Mubeen Hussain, and Mr. Tasadduq Hussain – were recognized with mementos, presented by Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rehiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees. Their unwavering dedication was acknowledged as the foundation behind the students’ stellar accomplishments.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Gangadhar Sirsath, Principal of ICSK Khaitan, followed by a photo session with the awardees and dignitaries. The evening ended with a sumptuous grand dinner, leaving the audience inspired and proud. The ACCA Award Ceremony 2025 was not only a celebration of academic excellence but also a showcase of ICSK’s vision of nurturing future global professionals.
