Self-Governance Day Celebration at The Indian School of Excellence, Kuwait
The Indian School of Excellence, Kuwait, observed Self-Governance Day as part of the International Teachers’ Day, on 25th September 2025 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event aimed to instil leadership qualities, responsibility, and a sense of appreciation for teachers among students. The day began with a special morning assembly conducted by the School Parliament members, setting a tone of respect and gratitude towards teachers. Mrs. Sherly Dennis, Director of Indian school of Excellence, gave an insightful address about the significance of Self-Governance Day, helping students understand its purpose and importance.
On this special occasion, the students of Grades 8 to 10 took over the responsibilities of teachers managing the academic and co-curricular activities for the students from Pre-KG to Grade 7. The young leaders stepped into their roles with confidence and dedication. The School President admirably took charge as the School Director, the Vice President performed the duties of the Vice Principal with remarkable efficiency, and the Sports Minister skilfully handled the role of the Deputy Vice Principal.
The student-teachers conducted classes, managed discipline, and ensured that the learning environment remained active and engaging throughout the day. Their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility reflected their understanding of the hard work and commitment that teaching demands.
The entire school was filled with excitement and curiosity as students enjoyed the unique experience of learning. Cultural activities and class party, added joy and celebration to the meaningful occasion.
