IISM Hosts "LUMORA"- A Serene Inner Wheel Session Honouring Mothers
Words often fall short in capturing the profound strength and ethereal beauty of a mother's spirit.
On the resplendent evening of October 16, 2025, India International School Mangaf presented "LUMORA," a captivating Inner Wheel session conceived to celebrate the luminous essence of motherhood. This visionary initiative, spearheaded by Director Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya, was orchestrated under the esteemed leadership of Principal Dr. K. Saleem. The event was brought to fruition through the meticulous efforts of Convenor Mrs. Reeja Santhosh, Joint Convenor Mrs. Dhanya Anish, and Parent Coordinator Mrs. Hafeeza Shahid, who seamlessly united the school's esteemed community of mothers in a grand celebration.
The occasion was graced by a distinguished assembly of guests, including the Chief Guest, Dr. Prashanthy R Prasad (BDS, MDS – Periodontics, Member of the Kuwait Dental Association); the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Babita Rajendra Patil (General Secretary of Maharashtra Mandal Kuwait); and another Guest of Honour, Mrs. Samia Saleem, wife of esteemed Principal Dr. K. Saleem. They were joined by Headmistress Mrs. Sridevi Neelakannan, Coordinators Mrs. Prema Balasubramanian (VI-VIII) and Mrs. Najiah Kader (Kindergarten), alongside revered mothers and faculty members.
The event was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Nasreen Fathima, Head of the Hindi Department. The ceremony commenced on a spiritual note with a soulful Quranic recitation by Mrs. Heba, followed by an eloquent translation by Mrs. Sameera. The proceedings continued with a gracious welcome address by Mrs. Reeja Santhosh, who extended heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished gathering for their esteemed presence.
The audience was subsequently enthralled by a vibrant tapestry of cultural performances. The program featured an elegant dance by students Hitaishi and Gopika, accompanied by Mrs. Kiran, and a poignant poetic recitation on autism by parent Mrs. Nusrat Osman. Melodious renditions by students Akshaya, Aardra, and Mehreen further captivated the attendees. The energy escalated with a dynamic dance performance by the kindergarten teachers. Further enhancing the festive atmosphere, engaging games were organized for the children, filling the gathering with a delightful spirit of joy and camaraderie. A key highlight of the event was the informative dental health session conducted by our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Prashanthy, who shared valuable insights on oral hygiene and dental care with the attendees.
A mesmerizing dance performance by Drishya from the Mathematics Department and her twin sister, Mrs. Divya, added a special charm to the celebration.Adding to the celebratory fervor, thematic competitions for mothers saw Mrs. Naushin Sajjad clinch first place in painting and drawing, while Mrs. Lakshmi emerged victorious in the rangoli contest. The memorable soirée drew to a poignant close with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Joint Convenor Mrs. Dhanya Anish, leaving all attendees with a profound appreciation for the timeless spirit of motherhood.
