Image 0The Investiture Ceremony 2025 at Smart Indian School (SIS), Kuwait, was held with resounding pride and solemnity on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, in the school’s grand auditorium. The prestigious event marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council Members for the academic year 2025–2026, celebrating leadership, commitment, and the spirit of service among the young visionaries of SIS. Gracing the occasion were distinguished guests, Commercial and Economic Advisor at the Embassy of Belgium, Diplomat Ms. Laurence Heyblom; Founder and CEO of Gluten Free Collective, Ms. Shaha Waleed Al-Fehaid; Head of Entertainment, Alshaya Group, Mr. Steven Putzeys; School Sponsor, , Mr. Ali Judyan Al-Bigheily ; Chairman and Founder of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon; Principal of Indian Educational School (IES), Mr. Anand Victor; Vice Principal of SIS, Ms. Bhavitha Bright; Head of the Physical Education Department, IES, Dr. Murugayan; and Administrative Manager, Ms. Amira Bendary. The presence of these eminent personalities, alongside the proud parents of the council members, lent exceptional grandeur to the ceremony.

The program commenced with the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by a soulful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the school prayer led by Grade 9 students Ahmed Taha and Lougin Alaa, respectively, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings. A warm welcome address was delivered by Syed Mujtaba of A Level, extending heartfelt greetings to the august gathering. A melodious Welcome Song by the students of Grades 3, 4, and 5 infused the atmosphere with youthful vibrancy. The cultural segment enthralled the audience with a series of performances, including an exuberant Garba dance, exemplifying rhythm, harmony, and teamwork, and a captivating cinematic dance by Vihaan and Vedikaa of Grades 3 and 1, respectively, showcasing creative flair and coordination. A special video showcased the election campaign 2025 and the enthusiasm of the students further highlighted SIS’s commitment to holistic excellence.

The most awaited highlight of the day, the Investiture of the Student Council, followed, as the newly elected members were adorned with badges and sashes symbolizing honour and responsibility. The council included: President: Shiham Ali Khan (AS Level), Vice President: Yara Mohamed (Grade 10), Secretary: Yousef Khader (Grade 10), Head Girl: Sarah Jessica (Grade 8), Head Boy: Yaseen Ahmed (Grade 8), Sports Captains: Abdullah Muddassar (Grade 9) and Maryam Yousuf Ali (Grade 8), Ministers of Well-being: Saiha Najiba (Grade 10) and Sonith Sai Reddy (Grade 9), Ministers of Art and Culture: Khadija Amr (Grade 8) and Zayaan Shaneef (Grade 9), and Magazine Editor: Crysta Cherian. Class Prefects were also honoured for their pivotal roles in maintaining discipline and peer leadership.

The Oath of Office was administered by Dr. Murugayan, Head of the Physical Education Department, IES, who inspired the council members to lead with accountability and conviction. In his address, he emphasized, “When you start doing things on your own, you become self-responsible, and that is the foundation of leadership.” The Chief Guests delivered insightful and motivational addresses. Ms. Heyblom underscored the significance of respectful leadership and character building, while Ms. Shaha highlighted the importance of empathy and emotional intelligence in leadership. Mr. Putzeys, drawing from his professional journey, reminded students that, “Discipline and integrity matter, even when nobody is watching.”

School Sponsor, Mr. Ali Judyan Al-Bigheily, congratulated the newly inducted Student Counsel and shared his thoughts with the august gathering.

Founder and Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon also congratulated the newly inducted student council and encouraged them to lead with discipline and innovation, assuring continued guidance from the management.

The event also featured the Prize Distribution Ceremony, honouring academic excellence. Students who secured Outstanding Cambridge Awards 2025, achieved A*s and As in the Cambridge IGCSE and AS Level Examinations, and excelled in intraschool competitions were felicitated with certificates and trophies. The school also presented mementos of appreciation to the Chief Guests for their invaluable presence and inspiring words. The ceremony culminated with Thanksgiving Speeches delivered by the Sports Captains, followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the Vice President, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guests, School Management, faculty, parents, and students for their collective efforts in making the event an unforgettable success.

 The Investiture Ceremony 2025 at Smart Indian School stood as a powerful testament to the institution’s ethos of leadership, discipline, and excellence; a day that illuminated the path of responsibility, service, and inspiration for every student leader to follow.
