FAIPS-DPS, Grade 6 Annual Day- A Tribute to World Cinema

DSC 8070 11zonFAIPS–DPS Kuwait celebrated its splendid Middle School Annual Day put up by Grade 6 students on Thursday, 20th November 2025, at the school auditorium, with majestic grandeur, transforming the morning into an awe-inspiring celebration of talent and creativity. The magnificent event unfolded as an opulent blend of cultural and cinematic performances, reflecting the theme of global cinema.

The landmark celebration was held in great esteem with the gracious presence of the Chief Guest, His Excellency Amir Muharemi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Kuwait.

The formal function commenced with Tahe-el-Kuwait, mellifluously followed by the dignified presentation of the Kuwait National Anthem. The atmosphere then transitioned into a sublime calm with the rendition of sacred verses from the Holy Quran. The ceremonial lamp symbolizing divinity, wisdom, and enlightenment was then lit by the Chief Guest, His Excellency Amir Muharemi, along with the Principal, and the Headmistress marking the auspicious beginning of the programme.

In his eloquent welcome address, the Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, warmly acknowledged the presence of the Chief Guest, dignitaries and parents. He reflected on the meticulous preparation behind the Programme and extended appreciation to the teachers for their unwavering commitment. Stressing on the crucial role of parents and educators in shaping a child’s holistic growth, he emphasized the importance of resilience, confidence, and the exploration of hidden talents in today’s world. He concluded by appreciating the invaluable support of parents in nurturing young learners into confident, and principled individuals.

The cultural extravaganza marked by the remarkable participation of over 400 students brought the stage alive with energy, creativity, and infectious enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a thought-provoking skit on women empowerment, inspired by the historic triumph of India’s Women’s Cricket Team in winning the ICC Women’s World Cup final, conveying courage, determination, and teamwork. The celebration then journeyed through the golden era of Bollywood and Hollywood (1950s–2000s) with a foot tapping Retro Tap Dance in striking red and white costumes, followed by a harmonious medley of soulful Bollywood classics and energetic Hollywood hits. A lively 1980s–90s dance medley, brimming with vigour and expressive rhythm, enthralled the audience, while a sparkling fashion show brought iconic global cinema characters to life with elegance and flair.

Adding to the spectacle were the captivating Live Posters, where students impeccably recreated famous film scenes, immersing the audience in the magic of the silver screen. The pinnacle of the celebration was the the Transformation Dance, portraying the evolution of Indian and Western cinema, through powerful choreography, dynamic expressions, and electrifying background scores, leaving the audience exhilarated and spellbound. The celebration reached its zenith with a dazzling Grand Finale, where the students united on stage to deliver a high-energy, exuberant tribute to global cinema

Addressing the august gathering, His Excellency Amir Muharemi, Chief Guest, lauded the exceptional standards and holistic approach of FAIPS–DPS under the diligent guidance of the Principal. He congratulated the Grade 6 students for their remarkable talent and spirited performances, praised the teachers for their meticulous guidance, and acknowledged the pride of the parents. Reflecting on the rapidly evolving world shaped by artificial intelligence and technological advancements, he emphasised the enduring importance of education

Ms. Deepa Elizabeth George, the Headmistress in her Vote of Thanks acknowledged the dedication and teamwork of all those who made the event memorable She further highlighted the team work as the silent strong strings that support strengthens the very foundation of the school. She also thanked the Chief Guest, His Excellency Amir Muharemi, for his presence throughout the celebration and for maintaining his characteristic composure and warmth.

The event concluded on a delightful cinematic note with the iconic line from The Truman Show:

“In case I don’t see you: Good afternoon, good evening, and good night.”
