Indian School of Excellence – Kuwait Celebrates Arabic Language Day

IMG 0681 11zonThe Indian School of Excellence – Kuwait marked Arabic Language Day with a vibrant special assembly honoring the Arabic language and its distinguished position among world languages.

The assembly began with Qur'an recitation and school prayer in Arabic. Students presented engaging skits emphasizing the importance of learning Arabic for non-native speakers and those living in Arab countries, citing Kahlil Gibran: "If a man does not go out of himself, he will not create anything," while showcasing the language as a bridge for communication.

Cultural performances enriched the event, including a fashion show featuring traditional Arabic attire, Gulf folk dance, and Levantine Dabke

Vice Principal Mrs. Bismitha Shamsudeen in her address appreciated teachers and students for their efforts, emphasizing the importance of learning Arabic. She invited each teacher to share an Arabic word with its English meaning, with enthusiastic participation from all.

The assembly concluded with the Kuwait National Anthem, reinforcing the message that the Arabic language unites people and reflects a rich cultural heritage.
