FAIPS Kindergarten - Earth Day Celebration
An Online Celebration under the theme “Our Power, Our Planet
Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by FAIPS Kindergarten on 22nd April 2026, through an engaging online platform under the inspiring theme, “Our Power, Our Planet.” The virtual celebration was thoughtfully guided by TEAM -KG, whose creative ideas helped students and parents indulge in meaningful and interactive activities, ensuring the event was both educational and enjoyable for the young learners.
To show unity and love for the planet, children and the entire KG team dressed in blue and green, symbolizing the Earth’s natural beauty. The celebration began with teachers explaining the importance of Earth Day and why it is observed, helping children understand their role in protecting the environment from an early age.
A variety of colorful PowerPoint presentations were shared with the students to deepen their understanding of environmental care. Through these, children learned about the 3 R’s—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—in a simple and clear way. Reduce was explained as consuming less to minimize waste and promote efficiency, Reuse meant using things again instead of throwing them away and Recycle was described as making new items from old materials. This helped children grasp the importance of minimizing waste in their daily lives.
The young learners actively participated in Earth Day–related activities conducted during the online sessions. These activities included drawing, colouring and discussions about keeping the Earth clean and green. Teachers also encouraged children to think sustainably by suggesting that they could ask for a potted plant as a birthday gift. The idea that “a potted plant can be your friend” was highlighted, fostering a sense of responsibility and companionship with nature.
The celebration concluded with an important message: we have only one Earth, and it is our duty to love it, protect it, and keep it beautiful every day—not just on Earth Day. The event successfully instilled awareness and a sense of environmental responsibility in the young minds, making it a memorable and impactful learning experience.
