ICSK KHAITAN INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026

On May 11, 2026, Indian Community School Kuwait, Khaitan hosted its prestigious Investiture Ceremony to formally induct the newly elected Student Senate for the academic year 2026–27. The occasion marked a significant milestone in the institution’s continued commitment to fostering democratic values, leadership and active student participation.



The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem of Kuwait, fostering an atmosphere of unity, respect, and reverence. Capt. Jagdeep Singh Rangi and Mr. K. Gangadhar Shirsath, Principal, ICSK, Khaitan, jointly lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge and enlightenment over ignorance. The event was further enriched by a graceful classical dance performance, showcasing the school’s appreciation for cultural heritage and artistic excellence.

In his welcome address, Mr. K. Gangadhar Shirsath, warmly greeted the dignitaries and emphasized the pivotal role of student leaders in guiding the institution towards greater achievements. He highlighted the importance of visionary leadership, stressing that an effective leader must possess clarity of purpose and a selfless spirit of service towards the community.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the formal investiture of the Core Senate, Junior Senate, House Captains and Vice Captains. Capt. Jagdeep Singh Rangi conferred badges upon the newly elected leaders, officially entrusting them with their duties and responsibilities. The oath of office was administered by Ms. Sushmeeta Prakash, Vice Principal, who urged the students to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and responsibility in their leadership roles.

During his address, Capt. Jagdeep Singh Rangi shared valuable insights from his professional journey. He spoke extensively about the qualities of an effective leader, the importance of perseverance in achieving personal goals, and the evolving nature of the modern world compared to two decades ago, drawing from his own experiences to inspire the students.

The ceremony also celebrated academic excellence, as the Principal’s Academic Awards were presented to the top achievers of the academic year 2025–26. Special recognition was accorded to Ayman Mohd for the exceptional achievement of securing a perfect score of 500 out of 500 in the CBSE Board Examination.

The event marked the beginning of a promising new chapter for the newly inducted student leaders, who now embark on their journey of service, leadership, and dedication to the institution and its enduring values.
