A Journey to the Moon through Young Curious Eyes
The Astronomy Club of ICSK proudly organized its first-ever MOON GAZING SESSION for registered students and parents from the 18th May 2026 to the 21st May 2026, with the sessions commencing each evening at 7:00 p.m. The programme was conducted as part of the club’s ongoing initiatives aimed at nurturing scientific curiosity and promoting awareness of the fascinating world of astronomy and space science. As part of its regular activities, the club also shares weekly updates on the latest discoveries and developments in space science with its members.
With the support of Mystery Domes, telescopes were arranged to provide participants with a remarkable opportunity to witness the wonders of the night sky first-hand. The highlight of the event was the observation of Earth’s closest celestial neighbour — the Moon. Through the telescopes, participants were able to admire the stunning Waxing Crescent Moon and closely observe its magnificent craters, rugged landscapes, and captivating surface features.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and parents, all of whom were thrilled by the extraordinary experience. The excitement and wonder reflected on the faces of the young amateur astronomers made the evenings truly memorable. Their eagerness to explore the mysteries beyond our planet beautifully reflected the club’s mission to inspire inquisitive minds and cultivate a lifelong interest in astronomy and scientific exploration.
