INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026

ICSK Junior Invests Its Leaders Online

“Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge.”

The Indian Community School Kuwait-Junior, conducted its Investiture Ceremony online on 3rd June 2026, choosing to honour the newly invested student council. With schools unable to resume offline, the institution refused to let uncertainty eclipse its spirit, and the ceremony unfolded in the virtual realm with dignity and vigour.

SENATE 2026 27 3AThe assembly commenced with the solemnity it deserved — an Islamic prayer, melodious and meditative, setting the spiritual tenor of the occasion, followed by a welcome song that breathed warmth into the digital assembly. The Principal of ICSK Junior, Mrs. C. Sheeja, delivered the welcome address with characteristic grace, extending heartfelt felicitations to the audience and generously acknowledging the Student Council members and their parents for their cooperation through every demanding phase of the electoral process.

The elections themselves were a democratic exercise of admirable vigour. Approximately 150 nominations were filed, from which 32 candidates were shortlisted to contest across various posts — a remarkably competitive field that spoke volumes of the school’s culture of participatory governance. The contest was keenly fought; ultimately, merit prevailed and the most promising candidates were duly entrusted with the mantle of leadership. Pinning of badges and the solemn oath-taking ceremony were conducted within school premises — administered with gravitas by Mrs. C. Sheeja and accompanied by Mrs. Santhikrishna, Vice Principal — and the recordings were woven seamlessly into the special virtual assembly.

SENATE 2026 27 5The Chief Guest, Mr. Sreejith N. Babu — a retired Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya, India, and a custodian of decades of pedagogical wisdom — addressed the assembly with both eloquence and illuminating anecdote. Drawing upon an incident from the life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man and former President of India, he distilled leadership to its most essential truth: a great leader claims full responsibility for failure, yet magnanimously attributes the laurels of success to the collective endeavour of the team. It was a lesson not merely for the newly invested council, but for every soul present.

The newly invested Student Council, bearing their badges with visible pride, offered a heartfelt message of gratitude for the honour and the trust reposed in them. Students from various classes attended the virtual assembly to witness the elevation of the peers they had elected — a moment replete with shared purpose and collective pride. The proceedings concluded with the Vote of Thanks, delivered with eloquence by Mrs. Lubna Lodhi, Academic Coordinator and Senate In-charge, who brought the ceremony to a warm and graceful close.

The Investiture Ceremony of 2026 stands, ultimately, as proof that the spirit of an institution is never confined to its walls.
