Dakshajaa Dey Upreti Selected to Represent India at Asian Age Group Swimming Championship!

WhatsApp Image 2026 07 02 at 1.28.12 PMDakshajaa Dey Upreti, a 15-year-old Class X student of FAIPS (DPS), Kuwait, has brought pride and honour to her school and the Indian community in Kuwait by being selected to represent India at the 12th Asian Age Group Swimming Championship, scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 15 to 21 July.

Dakshajaa earned her place in the Indian contingent after achieving the required qualifying time at the 79th Senior National Aquatic Championship, held in Ahmedabad in June 2026. Her outstanding performance placed her among the top two swimmers in the 15–16 years age group for her events, securing her selection for the prestigious international meet.

A contingent of young swimmers will represent India at the championship, competing in both individual and relay events. Dakshajaa’s selection is a significant milestone in her swimming journey and reflects her dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work.

Her achievement has been made possible through her relentless efforts, the constant support and encouragement of her parents, and the expert guidance of her coach. The motivation and support extended by Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, the school management, and teachers have also played an important role in her growth as a student-athlete.
