Teachers’ Day Celebration Report – 2026

“A great teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning.” 

AIIS celebrated Teachers’ Day on Thursday, 3rd September 2026, with a vibrant and memorable special assembly organised by the students. The celebration was a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards our teachers for their unwavering guidance, support and dedication in shaping the lives of their students. Our honourable Principal, Dr Geetika Ahuja and Vice Principal, Ms Husena, graced this auspicious celebration making the occasion even more special.

The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the Kuwait National Anthem and the school prayer. The ceremonial lamp was then lit by the Principal and Vice Principal, symbolising knowledge, hope and excellence.

The assembly featured an inspiring Thought of the Day and a speech by the students who represented Dr S. Radhakrishnan and highlighted the invaluable role of teachers in shaping young minds.

The cultural programme was filled with energy and enthusiasm, featuring Guru Vandana, a Bruno Mars performance, Special songs, Rhythm in Motion, an instrumental performance, a Fusion dance and the Skit “You Can Do It.” The performances beautifully reflected the students’ love and gratitude towards their teachers.

A special highlight was the “Classroom to Catwalk” and “Chalk to Chic” fashion show, where our teachers stepped onto the ramp with confidence, elegance and style. The celebration became even more exciting with the presentation of special titles and awards.

The Most Popular Teacher Awards were presented to Ms Rosita (KG), Mr Hassan (Grades 1–2), Ms Alveena (Grades 3–5), Ms Vidhya (Grades 6–8), and Ms Joolsy (Grades 9–12). The fashion show titles included Mr Dens – Best Dressed Male Teacher, Ms Ayodhya – Best Dressed Female Teacher, Ms Mitanshi – Queen of Confidence, Mr Joseph – King of Confidence, Ms Mubeena – Most Elegant Teacher, Ms Payal – Best Smile on the Ramp, and Ms Husena, Vice Principal – Showstopper. The Best Coordinator Award was presented to Ms Helen for her exemplary dedication and coordination.

In her inspiring address, Principal Dr Geetika Ahuja expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the teachers and reminded everyone that teaching is not merely a profession but a responsibility to inspire, empower and shape the future. Her words highlighted the importance of working together, believing in every child and creating an environment where both students and teachers can grow. Her message served as a beautiful reminder that the greatest reward for a teacher is not only academic success but the positive difference made in a student’s life.

The Principal, Dr Geetika Ahuja was honoured with a crown and the title “The Visionary Beacon of AIIS,” while Vice Principal, Ms Husena was crowned and honoured with the title “The Inspirational Trailblazer of AIIS,” in recognition of their inspiring leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment to the school community.

The celebration concluded with the Indian National Anthem and a group photograph with the teachers. Filled with laughter, talent, appreciation and heartfelt moments, the celebration truly captured the spirit of Teachers’ Day.

It was a beautiful reminder that teachers do not merely teach lessons; they inspire dreams, build confidence and leave footprints on the hearts of their students.
