FAIPS(DPS)-Primary School launches Innovative Financial Literacy Program – ‘BANKEE’
KUWAIT - Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS-DPS) marked a historic milestone on 10th October 2026 with the inauguration of ‘Bankee’, an innovative financial literacy initiative at its Primary School. Developed by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, Kuwait, and Nazaha, this visionary program officially establishes FAIPS Primary School as the very first Indian school in Kuwait to introduce structured financial education to young learners. The grand ceremony took place in the Primary Block, led by Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, alongside Headmistress Ms. Seema Bhatnagar, Senior Mistress Ms. Shabnam Nilofer, dedicated teachers serving as ‘Bankee Techs’, and enthusiastic students eager to join the program. Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Ravi thanked the Management and the Bankee team for their support in bringing this value-based learning concept to the school.
Designed to make financial education both engaging and practical, ‘Bankee’ teaches children the fundamental principles of money management, positive behavior, and economic responsibility through an interactive, real-life experience. Every student receives an individual account with a virtual currency called ‘Bankoz’, allowing them to earn a weekly salary, handle financial obligations, and practice budgeting. By learning to make informed choices and redeeming points earned through disciplined saving, young learners gain first-hand experience in managing their own virtual finances within a supportive environment.
The initiative has received warm appreciation from both faculty and students at FAIPS Primary School, who are looking forward to this enriching educational model. By integrating real-world financial concepts into primary education, the school aims to cultivate smart, responsible decision-makers equipped for the future.
