Jacques Kallis to quit Test cricket after Durban match

South Africa allrounder Jacques Kallis has decided to quit Test cricket after the second Test against India, Cricket South Africa announced on Wednesday.

Kallis, cricket's fourth highest Test run-getter, will remain available for selection in limited-overs cricket, that means he still has a chance to play at the 2015 ICC World Cup.

"It's been an honour and a privilege to have been part of the South African Test team since making my debut 18 years ago. I have enjoyed every moment out in the middle but I just feel that the time is right to hang up my Test whites," Kallis said in a statement issued by the CSA.

Kallis pulls the curtains down to his illustrious career after representing South Africa in 165 Tests, scoring 13174 runs at 55.12, with 44 centuries and 58 half-centuries. He has also taken 292 wickets at 32.53.
