Jenny CUP 2014

 

The Jenny  cup 2014 was held at SABHAN-GROUND on the 25th of February 2014.

The cup was organized by Denis Barboza, Anthony Cruza and the Modern Star Boys.

Matches began early in the morning with the preliminary rounds consisting of 16 teams that participated in the tournament on a Knockout basis. This was then followed by the semi –finals and finals which was keenly fought between   SAFCO   v/s BOOM BOOM

SAFCO reached the finals by beating KAICO in the semi-finals, BOOM BOOM   reached by beating by THE TIGER .  In the finals, SAFCO  won the toss and elected to bat first. SAFCO with major contribution from all players managed to score 134 runs in the allocated 8  OVERS. The Top scorer was ASGAR 42 RUNS is the man of the match.

BOOM BOOM was needed 135 run to reach the target but they couldn’t able to reach the target they managed with finishing only 44 in 8 over s. top scorer 16. Mr. .RAJESH PANCHWANI, ALGHANNAM TIRES country head and  Mr. SRINATH M.R,  MANAGING DIRECTOR OF AL  ARAB GLOBAL GROUP who has also sponsored tournament,  handed over the trophies to the respective captains  ASHOK  from  SAFCO and UMAR  of BOOM BOOM .

They were  congratulated on playing good cricket.

The JENNY  cup is an annual tournament organized by Denis Barboza and Modernstar boys who thanked all the participating teams for taking part in the tournament.
