ICSK JUNIOR CONDUCTS SPECTACULAR NURSERY SPORTS DAY

Sports are an integral part of every student’s life. On Thursday 29^th January, 2015 was an important milestone for ICSK Junior, as they conducted Nursery Sports Day in the premises. Sports Day was a splendid occasion for them to showcase their talents on the field.

The event commenced with the recitation of the verses from Holy Quran, followed by the school prayer and National Anthems of India and Kuwait.

Mrs. Farida Qureshi announced the Annual event open.

Sports help us to build our character, it teaches us to play by the rules. It enables us to know what it feels like to win and to lose; it teaches us about life, encouraging children to spend time outdoors.

In a tradition reminiscent of the Olympic spirit of sportsmanship, the Kindergarten Sports Day took off with a brilliant coordinated display by students, bringing us the message of universal brotherhood and how children could be an instrument of change. Dazzling display by students saw the courtyard being transformed into an astonishingly colorful arena.The performance of the Kindergarten children stole the show of the spectators.

The competitive events then commenced which included track race and obstacle race. The students participated in them wholeheartedly. The little budding sprinters ran the 50 meters sprint. Theme based events were conducted to bring in novelty and motivate children to take part in short races with larger focus

Bringing plenty of excitement and cheer to the day and to extend gratitude to the teaching fraternity for their collective support in handling the tiny tots to perfection; two friendly games were arranged namely musical chair and lemon and spoon race. The spirit and joy in participation by teachers was indeed commendable

Principal in charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Vice Principal Mrs. Gomathy Murthy were the chief guests for the calendar event; they honored the winners of the various races and awarded them with medals and certificates. In addition to this they extended their gratitude to the teachers working in complete unison and harmony.

 Lastly, the sports day kept the kids active, alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic. The kindergarten students were encouraged by teacher’s applause to excel better in all the sports activities.

Mrs. Farzana Raza delivered heartfelt vote of thanks.
