ICSK CONDUCTS INTER-BRANCH CHESS TOURNAMENT 2016

Inter-Branch Chess Tournament 2016 was organised by the Indian Community School Kuwait for the chess enthusiasts of the school. The competitions were held in the U-12 and U-14 categories for boys and girls. 65 students participated to win trophies in the keenly played matches. Mr. Binoy Thomas, head of sports committee of the Board of Trustees of ICSK inaugurated the event and encouraged them with his inspiring words.

In the U-12 girls’ category, ICSK Junior team was the winner and Amman team was the runners-up. In the U-12 boys’ category, ICSK Amman team was the winner and ICSK Junior team was the runners-up. In the U-14 girls’ category, ICSK Amman team was the winner and Senior team was the runners-up. In the U-14 boys’ category, ICSK Senior team was the winner and Amman team was the runners-up

The matches were held on league basis and the winners and runners-up were awarded trophies. Mr. K.G. Shirsath, Principal ICSK Khaitan and sports coordinator of ICSK, and Mrs. Shirley Dennis, Principal in-charge ICSK Junior, awarded the trophies to the students.
