  Garlic Methi Dhokli

 

 Ingredients

• 2 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
• 3/4 cup finely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
• 1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
• 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
• 1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
• 1 tsp oil for greasing
• A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
• Salt to taste
 
Method
• Combine all the ingredients along with ½ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well till no lumps remain.
• Grease a 175 mm. (7") diameter thali (steel plate/tray) using ½ tsp of oil. Pour half the batter into it and steam in a steamer for eight minutes. Repeat this step with the remaining batter, in another thali.
• Cut into diamond shaped pieces and serve immediately.
