Ingredients

• 2 finely chopped carrots
• 1 finely chopped cabbage
• 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
• 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
• 1 cup minced soya, soaked
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp red chilli powder
• ½ cup rice flour
• 3 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
• ¼ tsp soya sauce
• 1 cup broken rice, soaked
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1 tbsp chopped ginger
• 1 chopped onion
• 1 tbsp soya sauce
• 1 tsp sugar
• Water as required
• ½ cup cornstarch mixed with water
• 2 chopped spring onions
• ¼ cup chopped coriander leaves

Method
• In a bowl, add the carrots, cabbages, ginger, garlic, soya, salt, red chilli powder, rice flour, all purpose flour and soya sauce and mix well.
• Make small balls with this batter.
• Coat the balls with the broken rice and steam them in a steamer.
• In a pan, add the oil, ginger, onion, soya sauce, sugar, water, cornstarch mixed with water, spring onion and coriander leaves. Mix well and bring to a boil.
• Serve the Manchurian balls and sauce together, with grated cucumber.
