Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Kuwait conducted 3rd Technical Event & Curtain Raiser for the 14th Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition. The event was held at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa in Kuwait on 8th March 2023. The event was a precursor to the highly anticipated 14th Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition (TICE) and 7th Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA), which are scheduled on 9th November 2023.
TEF Kuwait is a non-profitable organization and registered with the Embassy of India in Kuwait. TEF Kuwait is the only ISO 9001:2015 certified Engineers Forum in Kuwait and has an active membership of around 550 engineers from various industries and disciplines.

The event started with the traditional Tamil song "Tamil Thai Vazhthu." The committee members Mr. Muthukumar welcomed the gathering, Mr. Periyasamy shared the Safety moment of the day & introduced the Seminar Presenters and Mr. Kasinathan shared the Kural for the day from the sacred book of Tamilians "Thirukkural."
The first session of the Technical Seminar, titled "Challenges in Calibration & DRUCK Product Portfolio," was conducted by Mr. Ahed Karmoul, Product Specialist for the MEAT Region (Middle East, Africa & Turkey) at Druck UK, and introduced by Mr. Andrew Salmond, Global Channel Leader at Druck UK.
The Curtain Raiser Event was attended by high-profile delegates from KNPC & Industries in Kuwait, and was sponsored by M/s Kuwait Maritime & Mercantile Co. (KMMC), Kuwait. The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Muthu Chidambaram, General Secretary of TEF, followed by a presentation video on the journey of TEF and its flagship programs, TICE and EEA.
The TEF President Mr. RajendraKannan and Vice-President Mr. Raghuraman, accompanied the Chief Guest, Eng. Abdulla Salem Suod Al Ajmi, the Manager of Technical Services, KNPC MAA Refinery, to the dais to raise the curtain for the 14th TICE.
The Guest of Honor, Mr. Sabah Al-Shammari, Executive Director of Golden Palm Petroleum Services, released the Flyer for the forthcoming conference and the first copy was received by the Chief Guest, Eng. Abdulla Salem Suod Al Ajmi, along with the Presidents and General Secretaries of Past TEF committees.
Both the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor delivered speeches, appreciated TEF’s efforts in organizing the conference & wished TEF Kuwait all success for the 14th Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition.
The second session of the Technical Seminar, titled "Tips & Tricks: How to select your calibration test tool like a master!" was presented by Mr. Ahed Karmoul and concluding session by Mr. Gajapathy Venkatesan, Regional Sales Leader for the MEATI Region. The seminar provided attendees with valuable insights and practical advice on how to select the right calibration test tool for the specific needs.
The Tech-Bytes segment of the event featured a presentation on "Closed Loop Cities" by Committee Member Mr. Kasinathan, which highlighted the importance of sustainable development and the integration of technology to achieve it.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Pradeep Kumar Raju. The event was concluded with networking and dinner, provided an opportunity for the participants to connect with each other and share their experiences.
The Curtain Raiser Event for the 14th Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition (TICE) and 7th Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) was a resounding success, setting the stage for the main event scheduled on 9th November 2023 at Radisson Blu, Kuwait, with the theme "Vibrant Vision – New Perspectives." The event highlighted the commitment of TEF Kuwait to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, technical & professional development between Engineers and the business community, and to promote excellence in engineering and technology.
