Kuwait Tamil Sangam’s (KTS) 18th year inaugural event held in Smart Indian School

KTS 23 24 01 0218th Year inaugural function of Kuwait Tamil Sangam (KTS) Kuwait was held in Smart Indian School, Abbasiya on Friday, 6th October 2023. The program started traditionally by lighting of “Kuthuvilakku” by KTS ladies, followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu.

KTS 23 24 01 19KTS President S. Ramadoss, welcomed the guests & members and briefed about the KTS activities.  Dr. Sami P. Venkat, General Secretary of KTS introduced the KTS committee member for the year 2023-24 to the audience and briefed about the upcoming events for the year 2023-24.

Earlier the election officers of the KTS, Mr. A.N. Natarajan, Mr. G. Raja & Mr. Chelladurai, announced the selection of the new committee unopposed.

The new committee comprises of Mr. S. Ramadoss - President, Dr. Sami P. Venkat - General Secretary, Mr. Rajnarayanan Desigan – Treasurer, Mr. A. Mariappan – Vice President, Mr. Murali Srinivasan – Joint Secretary, Mrs. Pradhama Maniyarasu – Joint Treasurer and committee members Mrs. Sudha Jayamani, Mrs. Revathi Sivakumar, Mrs. Rajeevi Raja, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Balaji, Mrs. Indira Gandhi Nadanasekar, Mr. G. Pattabi Raman, Mr. R. Vinayaga Murhty, Mr. Thimmarayan Gopal, Mr. Baskar Sayee & Mr. Jeyakumar Sakthivel.

KTS 23 24 01 23As a part of the celebration, Vijay Television “Neeya Naana” fame Mr. Gopinath graced the celebration as a special Guest. Guest of the event, Gopinath conducted the debate show titled “whether the people in the foreign countries are living happily or on compulsion”. People from various categories participated in the debate show and expressed their views and finally Mr. Gopinath gave his perspective in an interesting way and well appreciated by the audience.

Members of Kuwait Tamil Sangam enjoyed the programme with full enthusiasm. This is possible only with the help of the sponsors of the event and KTS honored the sponsors with a shawl and a memento.

KTS team thanked all the sponsors for the successful conduct of the program and the members of KTS for their unstinted cooperation and encouragement. The event was concluded with a delicious food was served from Anjappar Restaurant.

Kuwait Tamil Sangam was formed on 2005 to provide a social forum for Tamil community in Kuwait. KTS registered as the socio-cultural association with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait.
