American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) organized Blood Donation Campaign 2023
The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) hosted a blood donation drive at the Adan Blood Transfusion Center on October 20, 2023, between 13:00 and 16:00 hours.
The ASSP Outreach committee carries out an annual blood donation campaign as part of its broader outreach committee program. This year's event was a collaborative effort with EFS Services Company, with active participation from EFS employees, including Mr. Wael Abed, AGM Operations, and Mr. Roopan Rajendran, HSEQ Officer, as part of their social responsibility initiative.
The campaign was formally inaugurated by Mr. Samiullah Pathan Kan, Deputy Head of the Outreach and Government Affairs Committee of ASSP. Over 35 donors from both EFS and ASSP came forward to donate their blood, making a valuable contribution to this noble cause. To recognize their generosity and selflessness, donors were awarded appreciation certificates and provided with refreshments.
Mr. Abul Efham, Vice President of ASSP, expressed his gratitude to the Adan Blood Bank staff, blood donors, and Outreach committee members in a vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by Mr. Balvant Singh, Head of the Outreach and Government Affairs Committee.
