Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Kuwait, the One & Only ISO 9001:2015 certified non-profitable, Engineers Forum registered with Embassy of India to Kuwait, conducted the “14th Technological Innovations Conference & Exposition (TICE) and 7th Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA)” at Al-Hashemi Ballroom, Hotel Radisson Blu on 9th November 2023. TEF Kuwait boasts an active membership of over 500 engineers who work in different fields and industries across Kuwait.
This conference stands as the flagship event for TEF Kuwait showcases participants from various countries as Presenters of Technical Papers and Exhibitors. The event was graced by esteemed delegates, including His Excellency Sheik Malik Al-Jaber Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, Head of Sustainable Development Initiatives, as Chief Guest; Mr. Harit Shelat, Second Secretary, Embassy of India to Kuwait Felicitated the TICE; Mr. Sabah Al-Shammari, Executive Director, Golden Palm Petroleum Services, as Guest of Honor; and Mr. Herbert Klausner, Managing Director – Kuwait & Qatar, Siemens Energy, as the Keynote Speaker. The proceedings commenced with a ceremonial Ribbon and Cake cutting by the Chief Guest, followed by a walkthrough to the exhibition booths, featuring 30+ stalls showcasing diverse products and services.
The inaugural program initiated with the National anthems of Kuwait and India. Engr. Mohammed Hanif shared the safety moment and a quote from the sacred Tamil book "Thirukkural". Engr. Muthu Chidambaram, General Secretary - TEF 2023, delivered the welcome address, while Engr. Rajendra Kannan, President - TEF 2023, presented the Presidential address.
All dignitaries delivered speeches and were honored by the TEF Executive Committee with a Shawl and Memento.
Engineering excellence awards were awarded to Individuals under different categories such as Engineering Professional of the Year 2023, Engineer of the Year 2023, Engineering Excellence Veteran Award 2023, Young Engineer of the Year 2023, Promising Engineer of the Year 2023 and Emerging Engineer of the Year 2023. Also Engineering Excellence is awarded to Research Institutions and Companies under Engineering, Projects and Execution categories. EEA event was well organized by Engr. Periyasamy.
Subsequently, the Plenary session commenced, followed by concurrent presentations in Al-Hashemi and Boubyan halls. The Plenary Session is chaired by Mr. Hamad Rashed Al-Zuwayer (Manager Gas Operations Group, KOC) and Concurrent Sessions are chaired by Dr. Suad Al Radhwan (Assistant Professor, Australian University), Dr. Makendhiran Meyyappan (GM, Texel Engineering/ Chairman IEI (India), Kuwait Chapter) & Mr. Sudhakar Nibhanupudi (Group Chief Data Officer, NBK). The event saw a significant turnout of delegates from K-Companies, Power & Water Sector, Petrochemical Sector, Private companies, and students from the Australian University & Kuwait University. The entire event was proficiently anchored by Engr. Saravanan, Engr. Mohammed Hanif & Engr. Middleton in Al Hashemi and by Engr. Kasinathan, Engr. Balu Narayanan & Engr. Pradeepkumar Raju in Boubyan Hall.
Hall management was efficiently handled by Engr. Saravanan and team, Exhibition Stall was handled by Engr. Muthukumar and team while overall IT support was managed by Engr. Logachandran & Engr. Karthikeyan. The entire conference was meticulously planned and coordinated by the Technical Head Engr. Raghuraman, supported by the Technical team.
Registration was well managed by Engr. Mohan, Engr. Arun Golden, Engr. Jeyaseelan, Engr. Elanchelvam and Engr. Sankar. Engr. Veera Senthilnathan, Engr. Vidhyasagar and Engr. Stanley took care of Hospitality arrangements. Mementos were well managed by Engr. Suresh.
The presentations in both halls concluded by 2:15 pm, during which participants visited Exhibitor booths, inquiring about various products and services.
