Kuwait's New Official Logo and Visual Identity Are Unveiled by the MoI
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Information officially launched the new visual identity for the State of Kuwait, featuring the updated state emblem and the national blue color. The launch includes a comprehensive guide detailing the essential components of the nation's visual representation, ensuring consistent use across all platforms.
The Ministry of Information emphasized the significance of the state emblem, a symbol of Kuwait’s rich history and cultural identity. The emblem’s careful design preserves its symbolic meaning while modernizing its appearance for use in various media formats. The updated visual identity also incorporates Kuwait’s national blue color, ensuring a cohesive and unified visual representation.
The guide outlines specific instructions for the proper usage of the state emblem, including its colors, directions, and proportions. These guidelines are vital for maintaining the emblem’s integrity across all digital and print media. By following these guidelines, the visual identity will be applied consistently, preserving the nation’s image in official materials.
To ensure the authenticity and effectiveness of the visual identity, Kuwaiti designer Mohammed Sharaf was tasked with crafting the official logo. Sharaf’s design retains crucial elements like the dhow ship and the falcon, which represent Kuwait’s heritage, while adapting the emblem for use across modern digital platforms. The logo will be available in three forms: the single badge, the official state logo, and the ministries’ logo.
Approved by the Council of Ministers, the guidelines and logo have been distributed to all state agencies. The ministry has made the visual identity instructions available on its official website, allowing the public and government entities to easily access and utilize them.
This initiative by the Ministry of Information ensures that the State of Kuwait’s visual identity is unified, professional, and consistent. By adhering to these guidelines, the emblem and logo will serve as enduring symbols of Kuwait’s heritage and progress across various media platforms.
