The event, held at the Adan Blood Transfusion Center, was part of the celebrations marking Kuwait’s National Day, a momentous occasion for the people of Kuwait.

The blood donation camp was not just a medical activity, but also an initiative to strengthen community ties. It symbolized the spirit of giving and community solidarity, as residents from all walks of life came together for a noble cause — saving lives.

In total, 50 generous individuals donated blood, contributing to the critical need for blood in Kuwait’s hospitals and healthcare system. The event not only helped save lives but also helped raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donations, especially in times of emergencies.

The event kicked off with a formal inaugural session that set the tone for the day. Mr. Praveen Kumar , representing BDK, began the proceedings with a heartfelt welcome note, emphasizing the significance of blood donation and its role in fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation among expatriates and locals alike.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Dr. George P. Alex, the president of IDAK, who spoke about the importance of such humanitarian efforts in bridging the gap between communities and promoting collective responsibility towards the welfare of society.

The session was presided over by Mr. Murali Vazhakkodan, the president of KEA Fahaheel unit, who thanked all the volunteers and organizations for their tireless work in organizing the event.

The formal part of the event was enriched by the words of appreciation from key figures in the community. Muhammed Kunhi C.H , Asiz Thalankara, Rajan Thottathil of BDK, Srenivasan, Nalinakshan, Ashraf Kuchanam, Surendran Mungath, Sudhakaran Peria, and Sudheer Madikkai all took turns to congratulate the donors, the volunteers and the organizers for making the event a resounding success.

The event was a clear demonstration of efficient organization and teamwork. Volunteers from both KEA and BDK worked tirelessly to ensure that the camp ran smoothly. They assisted the donors at every step of the process — from registration to post-donation care. Their seamless support ensured that the blood donation camp was not only efficient but also comfortable for all participants.

As the camp concluded, a vote of thanks was delivered by Radhakrishnan Chemeni, who expressed gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, and organizers for their selfless contributions.

This event serves as a powerful reminder of how, by coming together, communities can make a tangible difference in people’s lives. The Fahaheel unit of KEA and BDK are leading by example, and we can only hope that more such initiatives will continue to flourish, inspiring all of us to give and support those in need.
