IMA Kuwait Hosts an Interfaith Eid Get-Together

13Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait successfully hosted its Interfaith Eid Get-Together Event, themed ‘Celebrate Eid, A Day with Togetherness’. The Event brought together esteemed Presidents of Prestigious Indian Associations, Dignitaries, Prominent Personalities in Kuwait, along with Special Guests & Invitees of IMA Community. Held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Kuwait Teachers’ Society Auditorium, Dasma, the Event witnessed a gathering of hundreds of Attendees and their families, who cherished a memorable evening filled with togetherness and community spirit.

Eid Get- Together holds deep cultural & spiritual importance for the Muslim community, marking culmination of the holy month of Ramadan. The Event served as a meaningful opportunity to foster unity, promote mutual understanding and celebrate the values of compassion & togetherness.

Key Highlights

The evening featured thought-provoking and immersive discourses, with a captivating keynote speech delivered by Mr Nisar Ahmad on the topic 'Establishing a Just Society’. His address deeply resonated with the audience, engaging them throughout the Session.

Addressing the audience, Mr Ahmad emphasized that justice is the foundation of a balanced and ethical society, built on principles such as fairness, equality, human dignity, and accountability. He explained that justice in Islam is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Quran and the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), advocating for fundamental rights such as life, religious freedom, education, and economic welfare. He also highlighted the role of social and economic justice, underscoring the importance of charity, fair governance, and an impartial legal system. He asserted that while striving for justice in this world is essential, ultimate justice will be served in the hereafter where every action of human being will be judged with absolute fairness by the Creator.

The Event featured Model Exhibition on 'Quran and Science,' covering essential Islamic themes such as Social Justice, Economy in Islam, Oneness of God, Prophethood, and the Hereafter. The Exhibition, coordinated by the IMA Children’s Circle and IMA Ladies Wing, showcased interactive and educational models presented by Young Participants, offering a valuable learning experience.

IMA President Mr. Mohammed Umar Falahi honored distinguished guests with floral bouquets as a token of appreciation. These dignitaries were recognized for their outstanding contributions to human welfare, art, culture, and sports in both Kuwait and India. They expressed their gratitude and highlighted the significance of such gatherings in promoting mutual cooperation, religious understanding, and tolerance.

Interactive Quiz and Community Engagement

Following the speeches, an engaging Interactive Quiz Session was conducted by Mr Osaib Ahmed. The audience enthusiastically participated, making it a fun and informative experience. Winners received attractive gifts.

Additionally, an Open Q&A Session was held, where Mr Nisar Ahmad, Mr Umar Falahi and Mr Waleed Umri answered audience questions, fostering meaningful discussions on Islamic and societal topics.

The Event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr Munawar Hussain and was convened by Mr Faiyaz Ahmed. The Event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr Mirza Tanvir Beg, followed by a sumptuous Dinner where attendees enjoyed a meal together, strengthening bonds within the community

As a gesture of generosity and goodwill, a Book Stall featuring Islamic books and Quran Translations in various languages was set up for free distribution. Guests eagerly collected these valuable resources, symbolizing a commitment to knowledge sharing and community engagement.
