IMA Kuwait Hosts Inspiring Kids & Parenting Workshops

17 11zonIndian Muslim Association (IMA), under the patronage of Ministry of Islamic Affairs (Foreign Relations Department), successfully conducted a Kids Workshop followed by a Parenting Workshop on Friday, 19 December 2025, at Jamiatul Islah Auditorium, Rawdha, Kuwait, attended by more than 200 hundred participants, including Children, Parents, and Community Members.

The Workshops were led by Renowned Life Coach and Motivational Speaker Mr Ateequr Rahman (A Visiting Scholar from India), and organized in coordination with IMA’s Weekend Islamic School, Children Circle, and Pearls of Islam Units reaffirming IMA Kuwait’s commitment to Community Development, Ethical Upbringing, and Family Empowerment.

Kids Workshop – Building Character and Leadership

The Kids Workshop, convened by Mr Osaib (Coordinator, Children Circle), included several Interactive and Engaging Activities designed to connect with Young Participants in a meaningful manner.

During the session, The Speaker Mr Ateequr Rahman emphasized Key takeaways for Children, including:

  • Leading Life on the Righteous Path, guided by Islamic Values and Good Character
  • Developing Leadership Skills at a young age, such as Confidence, Responsibility, and Positive Decision-Making
  • Understanding the importance of Obedience and Respect toward Parents, Teachers, and Elders
  • Practicing Discipline, Honesty, and Kindness in daily life.
  • Setting a goal for the kids at their early stage in order to focus on it later on

The Children actively participated throughout the Workshop, making the Session both Educational and Enjoyable, while reinforcing strong Moral Foundations.

Parenting Workshop – Navigating Challenges of the Digital Age

The Parenting Workshop, convened by Mr Musaib Siddiqui, addressed Critical Issues faced by Parents in today’s rapidly changing Digital Environment. Speaker Mr Ateequr Rahman delivered Practical Guidance and Actionable Insights on Modern Parenting Challenges. Key takeaways from the parenting session included:

  • Understanding the Impact of Excessive Mobile Phone and Screen Usage on Children’s Mental, Emotional, and Social Development
  • Practical Strategies to Limit Unhealthy Digital Habits while promoting balance and discipline
  • Encouraging Responsible and Positive use of Technology for learning and personal growth
  • Strengthening Parent-Child Communication based on Trust, and Emotional Bonding
  • The importance of Parents acting as Role Models in Behavior, Digital Usage, and Moral Conduct

Mr. Mohammed Umar Falahi, the President of Indian Muslim Association Kuwait, while delivering his Concluding Speech and Vote of Thanks, expressed that building the future of a child by parent is actually a building of a nation. The parents must deliver their due responsibilities towards their children keeping in mind the fact they will be asked by Allah in life after death. The supplication of the parent plays a vital role in building and growth of their children career. He further appreciated all the Participants for their active involvement and extended Special Gratitude to Mr Ateequr Rahman for conducting such a Well-Structured, Relevant, and Impactful Workshops.

The program concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing IMA Kuwait’s ongoing mission to nurture morally grounded Children, support Parents, and strengthen Families within the Community.
