GKPA Kuwait Organized Free Medical Camp; Over 300 Expatriates Benefit
The Kuwait Chapter of the Global Kerala Pravasi Association (GKPA), in collaboration with Metro Medical Care Group, organized a notable Free Medical Camp at its clinic in Salmiya Block-3. More than 300 expatriates, including Keralites and individuals from other Indian states, benefited from comprehensive health check-ups and medical consultations.
In addition to basic diagnostic tests, the Metro team facilitated free eye screening services and consultations across multiple medical specialties, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare support for the expatriate community.
The public function commenced with a welcome address by General Secretary Mr. Binu Yohannan and was presided over by President Mr. Justin P. Jose. The camp was formally inaugurated by Gershom Award recipient, Social worker and music director Mr. Manoj Mavelikkara. The organizational message was delivered by GKPA founding member Mr. Mubarack Kambrath. Felicitations were extended by Mr. Basheer Batha, Marketing Manager of Metro Medical Care Group; Ms. Vanaja Rajan, GKPA Women’s Wing representative; Ms. Lity, Branch Manager of Metro Medical Clinic Salmiya Block-3; and Ms. Jisha, Operations Manager of Metro Medical Group.
Alongside the medical services, NORKA–Pravasi Welfare membership and GKPA membership registrations were conducted. Volunteers from various sectors, including Mujeeb K.T., Amanullah, Sabitha, Bindu Nair, Abdulla Kadavath, Rafeeq Olavara, Shareefa Hawally, Saleem Koduvalli, Arshitha, Lalitha, Saleem Kochi, Sreelatha, Jiby Thamarassery, Shajahan Malappuram, Pradeep Salmiya, Sajina Kollam, Menish Vas, Raheem Arikkandi, Rathish Rajan, volunteered & coordinated the event.
Tokens of appreciation were presented to Mr. Manoj Mavelikkara, Mr. Husain A.K., Metro Medical Care Management, and Taj Al Findas Restaurant for their valuable support. Volunteer appreciation plaques were awarded to Preetha Kannur, Rasiya Muhammad, Vanaja Rajan, Abdul Jaleel Kottayam, Abdulla Kadavath, Mini Celin, Girish Govindan, Sajini Biju, Girija Omanakkuttan, and Jinesh Areekkara for their commendable service to society at GKPA platform .
Office bearers of the GKPA Kerala State Committee and representatives from various GKPA chapters conveyed their felicitation messages online.
The leadership affirmed that GKPA will continue to remain actively engaged in delivering meaningful and essential service initiatives for the welfare of expatriates both abroad and in Kerala.
