UPNRI Forum Kuwait Organizes 5th Blood Donation Camp at Kuwait Blood Bank, Adan Hospital Branch
UPNRI Forum Kuwait successfully organized its Annual Blood Donation Camp at the Adan Hospital Blood Bank Branch in coordination with the Ministry of Health, Kuwait, and the concerned Blood Bank Authorities. The initiative was conducted as part of the Forum’s ongoing humanitarian efforts and community service activities.
The camp coincided with Kuwait’s Independence and Liberation Day celebrations, reflecting the Forum’s commitment to contributing positively to the society in which the expatriate community resides. The initiative was also strategically scheduled ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, a period during which the demand for blood units typically increases.
A total of 78 donors registered for the camp, with a strong turnout on the day of the event. Following standard medical screening procedures conducted by the Ministry of Health medical team, 54 nos of eligible donors successfully contributed blood units. As per established health protocols, some registrants were deferred due to medical considerations; however, the overall participation was encouraging and demonstrated strong community engagement.
The presence of the Forum of Indian Doctors (FID) was sincerely appreciated, as it added encouragement and moral support to the noble cause. Special appreciation was extended to Dr. Sameer Humad, President of FID, and Dr. Mohan Ram, Vice President of FID, who is also an integral member of UPNRI Forum Kuwait, for their professional support and for producing informative awareness videos addressing common concerns related to blood donation. Promotional outreach was further strengthened by Mr. Mujeeb Akhtar, a prominent Indian community influencer and social media personality in Kuwait, whose efforts significantly enhanced public awareness and registration turnout.
The Forum acknowledged the presence and support of distinguished community representatives, including Mr. Asim Kidwai, President of AMUOBA Kuwait, and Mr. Obaid Ahmad, General Secretary of AMUOBA Kuwait, among other dignitaries.
UPNRI Forum Kuwait expressed its gratitude to its annual sponsor, Al Mulla Exchange, Sahara Group, Kuwait for transportation support, Arabia Press, and other sponsors and partners whose contributions facilitated the smooth execution of the program.
The event was organized under the leadership of Mr. Zeeshan Ullah Khan, President of UPNRI Forum Kuwait, and Mr. Shafaq Mumtaz, General Secretary, along with the Executive Council members, volunteers, and their families, whose coordinated efforts ensured the successful implementation of the camp.
The Forum extended sincere appreciation to all donors who participated in the initiative, emphasizing that voluntary blood donation remains a vital humanitarian contribution that supports national healthcare requirements.
UPNRI Forum Kuwait reaffirmed its commitment to continuing collaborative community initiatives in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders for the benefit of society at large.
