“Nothing in life can be achieved easily; but having achieved we tend to lose it, little realizing the value of it”- these are the opening words of Mr. Ravikanth, the founder president of Kuwait Telangana Samithi.“But I achieved everything after a lot of struggle and toil. This victory is due to my ability to mold myself according to the situation.” he adds.
He goes on to explain the reason for forming a new association in Kuwait.
“Telungana has been our dream for 60 years and we got it recently. More than 55 thousand people from this state are working in Kuwait and most of them work for very low wages. Our association will work for their welfare. As early as in February 2014, the founders approached the workers in labor camps, explained their mission and started membership drive. The association was registered on the same day- 2nd June - as the state Telangana was officially formed in India and got confirmed on 10th July 2014.

Kuwait Telangana Samithi will nurture the culture of the state and let the members enjoy the same in Kuwait with cultural programs. As the beginning, the famous Bathakamma festival of Telangana was successfully celebrated during Navratri and the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, HE Sunil Jain lent his support .
The association is also trying to arrange insurance for the workers as it was found that many workers die because of diabetes & Cardiac which they were unaware of.

Ravikanth, who is a patriot, hails from Panagal village of Nalagonda dist. His father Mohan Sundar was an honest civil contractor who met with a loss in his business. Ravikanth lost his father when he was in class10 and the family fell in difficult times. Ravikanth, with grit and determination, joined engineering course in the famous JNTU and passed out in 2001.
He started his career in a construction company which was run by his relative. In 2006, he joined Alghanim Sepam as an electrical enginner and later joined Hyundai as a quality control engineer
2012 saw him joining AMEC, a British company who are the consultants for KOC. Mr. Ravikanth is handling quality control of all factory equipments as per standards. Presently he is in charge for FAT of Electrical Equipments of EF 1600 project.
His wife Aruna is his strong pillar of support and his daughter Yashaswini is in class4 at SIMS.
