Shri Hirak Mukherjee has taken over as the Country Manager of Air India, Kuwait recently in addition to the charge of Airport Manager, upon retirement of his earlier incumbent.
Shri Mukherjee is a simple and pleasant person, who had served Air-India for well over three and a half decades.
Mr Hirak hails from Kolkata and joined Air India upon completing his graduation and later completed his post graduation from the University of Calcutta. He had worked at various stations in Eastern India like Guwahati, Jorhat, Tezpur, Dibrugarh and hardship station Imphal in three occasions. He has the experience of working in some of the International stations like Yangon, Kathmandu, Dhaka and Jeddah for a brief period apart from serving at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata for a long period. He also posted as the Station Manager, Port Blair for one year.
He has a sound experience in Airport handling matters and has worked in different departments like Reservations, Cargo and Administration. When faced with some issues, a thorough analysis followed up by an appropriate action plan for an acceptable solution is the hallmark of his way of functioning. He is also a DGCA Instructor for Aircraft Weight and Balance. He joined at Kuwait as an Airport Manager in October 2014.
His wife, Smt Jhuma is a post graduate from University of Calcutta. Apart from taking care of the home front, she is engaged with a computer institute at Kolkata. The couple has a daughter who is presently working with an IT company at USA after completing MCA from BIT, Meshra.
We whole heartedly welcome Mr. Mukherjee as the new Country Manager of Air India at Kuwait and are hopeful that he will elevate Air India’s operations at Kuwait to a memorable height.
