KLI was founded by Mr.Kuldeep Singh Lamba, a Kuwait-based NRI Businessman who came to Kuwait  virtually empty handed more than five decades ago.  The way he toiled steadfastly to become a top businessman in Kuwait, has made him a legendary hero among the Indian Community in Kuwait.

The Iraqi - invasion of Kuwait in 1990 put him to heavy financial losses and wiped out his fortune. Shrugging off the losses, he rose once again to re-establish his business empire.  He is well known for his contribution to the Indian diaspora in Kuwait and is loved by all for his generous and gracious nature.  Philanthropy and patriotism rules his heart and mind.  

While searching for ideal way to put his wealth into use for the betterment of Indians in his motherland, Mr.Lamba, who has served as a Member of the Board of Indian Community School in Kuwait,  selected education as the right field for this purpose.
