Most people equate entrepreneurship with ideas; but for many, the real entrepreneurship happens internally - Sami P Venkat @ Venkatachalapathi, Managing Director, M/s Al Maha Star General Trading for Equipment & Vehicles Co., one of the successful Indian entrepreneurs in Kuwait is operating fleet management services for more than a decade.
After completing his higher secondary schooling from “Avudayarkovil Government higher secondary school” in Tamil Nadu, Sami P Venkat moved to Kuwait in the year 1995 and started his career as a house driver; after 2 years he joined in one of the Transportation Company in Kuwait as a driver. Due to his hard work and dedication, he has got many promotions in his company and reached the height as Admin & Operational Manager within a short span of time.
With his tireless efforts and perseverance to become a successful entrepreneur, Sami P Venkat started a transport company “M/s Al Maha Star General Trading for Equipment & Vehicles” in 2006; today it is one of the leading Transportation Company doing excellent fleet management services to many companies and Indian schools in Kuwait.
With the intention of investing his hard earned money in a growth trajectory he has started a firm “Sami V Landmarks” in India and constructed a multi-storey residential apartment (Sami V Apartment) in his own town “Aranthangi”. As Aranthangi town has got many historical prides, the location requires good star and luxury hotels for domestic and international guest’s visits the locality. Keeping this opportunity in mind, he has constructed a commercial complex ‘Sami V Landmarks’ includes wide range of luxury hotel rooms with all the facilities as per international standards with a contemporary design marriage, party and conference meeting halls.
As an expansion to his business group, a multi rooms housing facility having all modern facilities for college students has been constructed and operated in the so-called Tamil Nadu’s big educational city of “Karaikudi”,
Despite being an entrepreneur, Sami P Venkat always engages himself in public services and philanthropy. He is the Founder of Kuwait Paari Vallal Friends association and headed in different positions. Through this association, he serves and contributes to the needy people with poor background in Tamil Nadu, also he is associated with Kuwait Tamil Sangam and serves the Tamil community here in Kuwait. He has been recently elected and serving as a President in the RISE – Kuwait Chapter, a Networking Organization of Tamil Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Enthusiasts.
Dr. Sami P Venkat is being involved in public service at Kuwait as well as in his motherland. In 2018, he has formed a non-profitable trust – Sami V Charitable Trust, and from his earnings he has been spending a portion for school student’s welfare, educational competitions, donating needful facilities to the nearby government schools such as drinking water, toilets, furniture, tree plantation and so on. Also, he constantly contributes to severable public serving organization such as Rotary Club, Trade and Commerce associations in his home town.

On recognizing his outstanding entrepreneurial skills and generous philanthropy, International Tamil University, Maryland, USA conferred Sami P Venkat with Honorary Doctorate in a recently held function in Chennai.
Dr.Sami P Venkat @ Venkatachalapathi was born as the youngest son of Mr. Periyasamy - Mrs. Thangavelu Ammal in Chithirampur village of Avudayarkovil (TK) Pudukkottai district in Tamil Nadu. He is married to Mrs. Chella Silambeswari and the couple are having two dearest sons - Dharani Balan and Dhaanu Balan both undergoing schooling.
