World’s youngest Web Designer and youngest CEO at the tender age of eight years designed and developed the official website of her school, www.presentationhss.com Presentation Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, Kerala, India.
Sreelakshmi Suresh is the receipent of more than 40 National and International Awards, Honours for her excellence in web designing. The Association of American Webmasters honoured her by giving its membership along with their highest award for excellence in web designing, the Gold Web Award. She is the only Member of the Association of American Webmasters, under the age of 18.
She has received the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement 2008, the highest award in India for Children, instituted by the Govt. of India, which she cherishes a lot. The award was presented to her by Ms. Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the current ruling coalition party of India, in a function held on 5th February 2009 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
She is honoured by the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Kerala by selecting her as the Best Women Entrepreneur of the year 2012. The award was presented by Mr. M. K. Muneer, a Minister of Kerala. The top rated English channel in India, Times Now, showcased Sreelakshmi in their program, Amazing Indians 2012.
She has already designed and developed about 100 websites. Her website for Deaf’s, www.kozhikodedeaf.org, officially launched by Sri. Binoy Viswam, Minister for Forests, State of Kerala and her website for kids in Malayalam, www.e-sandesh.com, was formally inaugurated by Sri. V. S. Achuthanandan, the Honorable Chief Minister (former) of Kerala on 7th December 2008. She has designed websites for several companies and institutions in India and abroad.
On invition by numerous Colleges, she has addressed and interacted with the students of several Engineering as well as Management colleges, including Narasu Sarathy Institute of Engineering Technology, SONA College of Engineering, two reputed engineering colleges at Salem, KSR College of Engineering at Erode, Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) at Kochi etc.
Sreelakshmi has been invited by several prestigious organisations such as Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Jaycees, Lions Club International, Rotary Club International to address and deliver speech during their major functions. Shoppers Stop, the largest business network of India invited her to address their annual business meet, wherein CEOs of 144 companies were present.
She started her own web designing company eDesign Technologies (www.edesign.co.in) when she was only 10 years old, and she is the CEO of the company, the youngest CEO of the World. The company has got customers from various countries and has already developed about 100 websites. www.stateofkerala.inis her personal website which contains all necessary information about Kerala and more than 10 million persons have already visited the site. She manages another company Online Pixel, through which she is keen to give education, a top priority, to the needy. She works on all her projects only after she finishes her school work, she clarifies. She shares that her parents and friends including social media have offered her rock-solid support and she wants to take her companies to greater and greater heights.
She has been very much interested in computer applications since her early childhood. When she was 4 years old, she used to draw pictures using MS Paint program in Computer. Then she learnt typing alphabets and gradually started studying web designing. When she was studying in 3rd standard, she was entrusted with the work of developing a website for her school. The site, www.presentationhss.com was launched on 15th January 2006 by Sri. Binoy Viswom, (former) Minister of Kerala, when she was only 8 years old, and was just 4 years into her elementary schooling.
Her website for Bar Council of Kerala, was officially launched on 20-06-09, by the Hon’ble Judge, Mr. Kurian Joseph. The site contains almost all details required for lawyers including information about more than 35,000 lawyers practicing in Kerala. All prominent newspapers around the world have published articles about Sreelakshmi Suresh and almost all prominent TV channels of India and abroad, telecasted her interviews.
Sreelakshmi Suresh is the daughter of Adv. Suresh Menon and Mrs. Viju Suresh. Presently, she is studying in 10th Standard at Presentation Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, Kerala, India.
“ Arise, Awake and Stop Not till the Goal is reached ”, said the famous Indian monk. She likes to keep shifting gears and her goalposts and aspires to reach the pinnacle of human achievement in her area of chosen domain. To all the women out there, nothing will stop you from achieving what you want and fly high, if you are confident, she reiterates.
