INDIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CELEBRATES GANDHIJAYANTHI

India International School joins Prime Minister NarendraModi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign by cleaning the school precincts,under the guidance and supervision of the sectionVice Principals. Asa part of the activities organized on Gandhi Jayanthi, students of class 1 watched a documentary film about Gandhiji. MrsDhanya, with the help of a power point presentation spoke about the importance of keeping our environment clean. Students of Class II prepared a collage on the life of Gandhiji and cleaned their class rooms, corridors and assembly area.

Students of the Middle and Senior Sections also, after writing their exams, whole heartedly took part in the cleanliness drive by cleaning their class rooms and the school campus.The children also took a pledge that they will keep the school as well as their homes clean at all times. This ‘Shramdan’ was an extended act of their routine activity for the past few years. The school has already created a positive mindset among the students regarding the necessity of eliminating the unhealthy practice of littering our surroundings. On realizing the fact that cleanliness is the crying need of the age, school organizes activities like Beach Cleaning, Essay Writing Competitions, Poster Making Competitions, class rooms and School campus cleaning and so on during the occasions of important days like Environment Day, Earth Day and Gandhi Jayanthi. Students are encouraged and motivated in all the activities by the Director Mr. MalayilMoosaKoya, Principal Mr. F.M Basheer Ahmed and the Senior Vice Principal Mrs.NarinderKaur.       

The school is highly grateful to the Indian Embassy to Kuwait for providing us with the Prime Minister’s Pledge for ‘Swachh Bharat.’ We also take liberty to appreciate the Embassy for its timely and commendable service rendered to the Indian Community in Kuwait.df
