ICSK PAC Arts Fest 2015 Grand Finale
MAGNIFICENT CLOSING CEREMONY AS CURTAINS DRAW
ON ICSK PAC ARTS FEST 2015
The ICSK PAC Arts Fest 2015 came to a close with a spectacular ceremony at the auditorium of the Indian Community School Kuwait, Senior, Salmiya on 12th December, 2015. The impressive Grand Finale was a befitting culmination of the various competitions held across all the four branches of ICSK over the last one month. The ceremony opened with a brilliant display of laser lights with thundering fireworks sounds. The enthusiastic cheers of the parents and students in the packed auditorium energized the participants.
A total of 5020 students participated in the Arts Fest 2015 and 2500 awards were given out in various categories. The winners of the branch events vied for prizes in the exciting finals. ICSK Amman was adjudged the overall champion.
Mr. Juzar Ali, a renowned businessman and a philanthropist, was the Chief Guest for the occasion and a galaxy of distinguished persons from the Board of Trustees including the Honorary Chairman Mr. S. K. Wadhawan, Honorary Secretary Mr. Vijay Karayil, Honorary Joint Secretary Mr. Santhosh Mathew and other Board members were present at the event. The members of the elected Parent Advisory Council were at the helm of the ceremony with Mr. Santhosh Mathew and Dr. Prathap Unnithan breathing life into the event with their lively compering. Principals of all the four branches, Vice-Principals and staff members graced the occasion. But the evening clearly belonged to the children who enthralled the audience with their breathtaking performances. The winners of various competitions were also presented with awards for their achievements in the Arts Fest.
Principal of ICSK Amman and convener of the Arts Fest 2015 Mr. Rajesh Nair C. welcomed the guests with his welcome address. In his Presidential address, Mr. S. K. Wadhawan lauded the efforts of the school for various achievements in curricular, co-curricular and sports activities. In his address, Mr. Vijay Karayil outlined the outstanding accomplishments of ICSK students in the year 2015. Further, he sketched out the advancements brought about at ICSK in terms of infrastructure, academics and other fields in the past few years. Mr. Juzar Ali, the Chief Guest, also an alumnus of the school, reminisced about his school days when such opportunities for children to showcase their creative talents were rare. The Parent Representatives to the Board of Trustees from Senior Branch Mr. Roy Abraham, Junior Branch Mr. Suresh K. P., Khaitan Branch Mr. Nizar K. V. and Amman Branch Mr. Santhosh Mathew shared their thoughts with the audience. 40 PAC convener Mr. Mathew George also addressed the gathering. PAC Arts Fest convener Mr. Suresh Mathur presented the vote of thanks following which PAC member Mr. Joyal Jose set the tone for the evening with his medley of songs.
The judges of various competitions were felicitated for their invaluable support for event. The Chief Guest was presented with a memento. The PAC members recognized the support from the Honorary Secretary Mr. Vijay Karayil and presented him with a memento. The ICSK fraternity also presented a memento to Mr. Suresh Mathur and Mr. Mathew George. PAC representative to the Board of Trustees from all branches, Principals, PAC members, PAC Branch conveners, Teacher in-charges and others were also felicitated on the occasion.
The ICSK individual champions of the CBSE Kuwait Cluster Athletic Meet and the sports teachers were congratulated and honoured at the ceremony. Also, the winning ICSK Junior team at the National Science Congress organised by the Science International Forum was lauded for their extraordinary accomplishment.
Undoubtedly, it was an evening to remember!
