SALMIYA INDIAN MODEL SCHOOL CELEBRATING FIVE YEARS OF PROGRESS
Salmiya Indian Model School popularly known as SIMS has been celebrating five years of progress which was inaugurated on 16th January 2017 and the celebrations are still going on in one form or the other.
The opening day of the celebrations was held in the school auditorium in a befitting manner amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The students of class IV to class IX were part of the celebrations this day.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was His Excellency Mr. Sunil Jain, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait and the other dignitaries included Dr. Mohammed Tariq the Chairman of Paradigm Pioneers Group and the school, Mr. Abdul Aziz al Kandri the General Manager Ministry of Private Education. Mr.Jamal Abdul Khalique Al Noorie the Chairman KNPC and Noorie Charitable organization, Kuwait, Mr. Ahmad Dashti representative of the School sponsor and Mr. Rizk Abdeer Inspector Ministry Of Private Education.
The proceedings of the day commenced on a spiritual note with the recitation of holy Quran, prayer song and rendition of Kuwait National Anthem.
SIMS started with 16 students and 16 staff members in October 2011. Those parents and staff who showed the faith in SIMS were felicitated with a memento by the chairman.
Dr. Anis Ahmed the Director of the school in his welcome address introduced the guests and spoke about the growth of the school. Principal in the school report read out the achievements. Chief Guest Mr. Sunil Jain in his address was all praise for the school and urged the students and staff to keep the essence of the school and motivated the winners.
Scholar badges were given to the meritorious students by the Chief Guest.
The cultural program based on the theme “Colors of Life” commenced with a welcome dance that truly set the tone for the evening with its genuine warmth. The events included dance, music and play each depicted a color and its significance. The talented artists left the audience spell bound. The rapturous applause of the audience adorned the place with glorious atmosphere.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by the vice principal acknowledging the efforts of staff, students and parents. Celebrations solemnly concluded with the Indian National Anthem. The opening day celebrations had surely left the audience with wonderful memories to cherish. Guests sensed the charisma of those at SIMS savored the harvest of more than a month long labor.
