FAIPS Successfully Holds 2nd Inter-School Quiz Competition
FAIPS SUCCESSFULLY HOLDS 2ND INTER-SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION
Quizzing is a forte that FAIPS proudly seeks to exploit time and again. With an aim to identify young quizzers and instill in them a thirst for knowledge and awareness ‘Catch Them Young’- an Inter-School Quiz Program was created to pick out such enthusiastic quizzers from classes IV and V.
On January 5th, 2017 the IBS (International British School) venue was abuzz with students who had come to witness and participate in the 2nd Inter-School Quiz Competition, a battle of knowledge and wit displayed by the youngsters of different Indian schools in Kuwait.
Following a preliminary round held in the month of December, six out of the ten Indian Schools that qualified for the finals were the- Indian English Academy, Gulf Indian School, Indian Learners Own Academy, Indian Educational School, Indian Community School and the host school, FAIPS-DPS.
Under the able guidance of the quiz master Ms. Sarmistha Roy, the quiz progressed taking the participants through different nerve-wracking rounds including one by the Principal of FAIPS. After a volley of questions ranging from Sports, Current affairs, Entertainment and Literature, the winners of the 2nd Inter-School Quiz Competition emerged following the Buzzer Round. Indian English Academy (Don Bosco) came 1st, followed by FAIPS-DPS in the 2nd position and Indian Community School Khaitan in the 3rd place.
The Chief Guest, Mr. K. G. Alexander and the Guest of Honours, Mr. Jaffar and Mr. Zoheb, Kidzania gave away the prizes to the winners and participants.
