EMPOWERING TEACHERS-TRAINING WORKSHOP

ICSK, SENIOR conducted a training workshop for teachers of branch schools. Dr T.P.Sasikumar, space scientist, life mentor, thought leader, writer, hypnotherapist and educationist was the mentor for the day. He is a versatile personality holding MSc, MPhil, PhD, LLB, MBA, MS. He is the chairman@ Shiksha –Jnaanam.

Honorary Chairman Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahman, Honorary Secretary Mr. A. Amer Mohammed, Principal and Senior Administrator Dr V. Binumon, Mr. Rajesh Nair, Principal Amman Branch, Mrs. Sherly Dennis, Principal Junior Branch and Vice Principals of all branches graced the programme by their benign presence. The programme commenced with the verses of the Holy Quran followed by a prayer song. Principal and Senior Administrator Dr V. Binumon, welcomed the special guest and spoke about his contributions. Dr V. Binumon stated that Dr T.P. Sasikumar has trained more than 10 lakh teachers and approximately 30 lakh students. Honorary Chairman Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahman presented a bouquet of flowers to the special guest for the day.

The session was energetic and enthusiastic. Teachers acquired a lot of tips from the workshop. The tips included good handwriting , methods of concentration and  ways in which clapping helps.Headvisedteachers to implement these tips in their everyday classrooms. A few activities set the ball rolling. His inspirational words,” Creativity is what makes you a good teacher,”motivated the teachers to experiment innovative ideas in the classrooms.

The session culminated with a vote of thanks by a teacher representative from each branch. Dr T.P. Sasikumar handed over the certificates for teachers to the Principals of branch schools. Principal and Senior Administrator Dr V. Binumon, presented a memento as a token of appreciation to the mentor.

The teachers walked out with the hope of improvising and experimenting in the classrooms for quality teaching. Teachers were motivated to adopt all positive aspects of communication in the classroom teaching environment. It was a very interactive and insightful session.
