A Touch of Humanity –  ICSK Senior Sparsh 2018

Presentation by students“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.” – Oscar Wilde

ICSK Senior inaugurated Sparsh, a value based initiative in 2014 to inculcate a sense of empathy among the young students and sensitize their feelings towards all the different kinds of sufferings and discriminations around them. They are encouraged to take up various social issues and act upon them. They visit old-age homes, hospitals, orphanages, etc and spend time with the people there; they clean their surroundings; they conduct seminars on various social issues; online campaigns on various issues are conducted; flash-mobs are conducted and short films are shot, and many more activities are taken up by the students.

Students from each class are able to take part in Sparsh individually or in a group. They are instructed to shoot the activity they conduct, and present it to the school authorities on the stipulated time. The best ones are evaluated and selected by a set of expert judges based on the messages that they convey.

As always, the students of ICSK Senior were ever-enthusiastic in participating in Sparsh 2018. Devoid of any inhibitions, they utilized their three-month summer vacation for it with ardent fervor. Each participant and group presented exemplary performances. They were given a set of topics to choose from which included campaigns against environmental pollution, visiting old-age homes, hospitals, orphanages and various others.
