Kuwait National & Liberation Day Celebration at Bhavans Smart Indian School
Smart Indian School celebrated Kuwait National and Liberation Day on 20th February,2023 with a number of special activities and events. It began with the hoisting of the national flag of Kuwait by Sponsor Mr. Ali Judiyan Al Bigheli and the Chairman of the Bhavans Middle East Mr. N.K Ramachandra Menon followed by the singing of the National Anthem of Kuwait. Smart Indian School Director Mr. Ahmed Ali Al Bigheli, Principal Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Administrative Manager Ms. Amira Bendary, Vice-Principals, K.G Supervisor were the other dignitaries of the function.
The students dressed in Kuwait traditional dress spent this day talking about the history of this country and the love and support rendered by this country.
Abdul Basit of Grade 6 Aries recited a few verses from the Holy Quran and Ms. Nada delivered the welcome address in Arabic. The rich history and culture of Kuwait was shown through a Skit in French. This was followed by the conventional and traditional dance and music that was showcased with the rich and vibrant culture of this land.
The school also celebrated the birthday of the Sponsor. He was well wished through songs, videos and a birthday cake was also cut. He was presented with a token of love by the Chairman for being a pillar of support. The Sponsor was indeed overwhelmed and he expressed his joy and gratitude.
The birthday celebration was followed by a beautiful song by the teachers of Arabic Department and a felicitation speech by Principal of Smart Indian School Mr. Mahesh Iyer. Mr. Ali Naem gave the Vote of Thanks. The program concluded with the Indian National Anthem.
