4 6Blessed are those who can paint dreams in vivid hues and inspire others to do the same! The inspirational power of art plays a vital role in enabling children to enhance their creative talent and develop their artistic skills. Children naturally love art, painting and drawing which help them express their feeling without words. Indian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait, leaves no stone unturned when it comes to creating opportunities for the learners to hone their skills and exhibit them in a befitting manner. Be it academics, art, sports, music, or dance, IES has always been admired and feted for the outstanding performance of young Bhavanites in every field. 

To add another golden feather to the crowning glory of IES, the zealous and creative artists of IES brought home laurels by bagging attractive prizes and cash awards inthe ‘16th Toyota Dream Car Contest’. The contest hosted by Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Est. Co. Kuwait to promote children’s imagination and artistic talents powered by unique ideas to tackle their day-to-day challenges, is one of the largest global art contests for children. More than 4,000 students from all the National and Foreign schools in Kuwait participated in this much acclaimed annual art competition.  Children created hand-drawn colorful artwork, which shows their “Dream Car” with a brief description about the drawing to support their idea.  

Two hundred students from Indian Education School participated in the contest. Aden Prince of grade 2A bagged the Bronze Award in Category A and received a cash award of KD 75/-. Aiza Shadab of grade 8 B won the Bronze Award in Category C and received a cash award of KD 75/- as well. Mr. Prasanthan M, the art instructor of IES, was conferred with ‘Excellent Art Teacher’ Award. He also received a cash award of KD 30/-.  

The prize winners and art teachers were felicitated at IES in the morning assembly. On behalf of the management, staff and students, the Principal, Mr. T. Premkumar, extolled the winners for their stellar performance and praised their creative bend of mind. He congratulated the art teachers, Mr. Prasanthan and Ms. Sherly for their committed effort and excellent coaching. He appreciated them for nurturing the artistic talents of the students and for encouraging them to participate in all the art contests.
