453A9939 11zonIndian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait, organized a comprehensive session on diverse career options in the medical field, both in India and abroad, for the students of grades 11 and 12 pursuing the science stream. The seminar, held on June 5th, provided students with valuable insights into the medical profession and the pathways to pursue their aspirations. The keynote speaker of the day was Mr. Asghar Hussain, Director of International Admissions (Medical Programs) from Manipal Global Education. 

The program commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Ms. Preethi K Nair, the school counselor. She set the tone for the session by delineating the importance of medical careers, which play a vital role in the fields of disease prevention and public health, medical research and advancement, rehabilitation, mental health, and health education. 

Mr. Hussain commenced the seminar by providing students with a comprehensive overview of the various career paths they can pursue after graduation. He outlined the process of obtaining a medical degree in both India and foreign countries, shedding light on important examinations such as NEET, NExT, MCAT, and PLAB. He enlightened the students about the application process for courses like MBBS, as well as allied health careers including occupational therapy, psychology, internal medicine, and sports medicine. 

Furthermore, Mr. Hussain advised students on the crucial factors to be considered when selecting a college. He emphasized the importance of evaluating the curriculum, facilities, faculty expertise, student support systems, location, safety, and the financial aspect of admission. To provide a tangible example, Mr. Hussain gave a detailed description of Melaka Manipal Medical College in Malaysia. The seminar culminated with an engaging 'Question & Answer' session. The students had the opportunity to address their queries directly to Mr. Asghar Hussain and get all their doubts cleared.  

Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, the Vice Principal of Bhavans Kuwait, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Mr. Asghar Hussain for his invaluable contribution to the seminar. The insightful session received high appreciation from the senior students, further affirming the resounding success of the seminar on medical occupations held at Indian Education School, Bhavans Kuwait.
