‘’The journey of thousand miles starts with a single step…take the first step to your goal by saying no to tobacco’’. Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait organized Anti-Vaping Seminar at Indian Learners’ Own Academy on May 31st , World Tobacco Day to raise awareness of the harms caused by tobacco.

The session was conducted for the students of class XI. Mr. D.K. Sharma, the Chairman of ILOA , Mrs.Asha Sharma, the Principal and the teachers were also present during the session. The Guest of honor Dr. Piyush Bafna MBBS,DNB(RADIODIAGNOSIS) in his address to the students  enlightened the harmful effects of vaping and highlighted that vaping was no less than smoking. He added that in fact it had the similar effects of smoking tobacco in any form. It was further stated that Youth nicotine use in any form is unsafe and younger users are more likely to become addicted.

He also stressed not to give in to peer pressure for this bad habit. He advised them not to get trapped and to use wisdom. Vaping makes people around the user passive smokers, and for no rhyme and reason their health is also affected. Vaping contaminates all the places around the active user. It is better to nip it in the bud.

His words were truly informative and created awareness among those who had scarce information about vaping. Towards the end of the session the students were allowed to ask questions to clear their doubts. The session also inspired some students to spread the campaign among their fellow peers who might not be aware about the effects of vaping.

Mrs.Asha Sharma proposed the Vote Of Thanks. She thanked Dr. Piyush Bafna for sparing his valuable time with the students and also educating them to refrain from such  addiction.

As Buddha said,’’ Every human being is the author of his own health or disease’’, let us commit to raise awareness among today's youth, as they will be the future of tomorrow.
