The theme for the 2023 Vigilance Awareness Week was "Say no to corruption; commit to the Nation," echoing the commitment to eradicate corruption in the nation. This observance is held annually, starting on 31st October, in commemoration of the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of India, known as the "Iron Man of India." The goal of this event is to acknowledge the detrimental effects of corruption and promote measures to combat it both at an individual and systemic level, as mandated by the Central Vigilance Commission.

The day commenced with BSS members taking a pledge during the morning assembly, emphasizing their dedication to combat corruption. Principal, Mr. T Premkumar, delivered an inspirational speech highlighting the importance of unity and Sardar Patel's role in uniting India. Throughout the week, various activities were organized to raise awareness about the importance of saying no to corruption.

Grade 5 and 6 students conducted awareness campaigns, while grades 7 and 8 created posters advocating for a corruption-free India. Grade 8 students presented role plays in their classes to portray the consequences of corruption. Students also took the Integrity Pledge, committing themselves to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and received e-certificates as a token of their commitment.

The celebration of Vigilance Awareness Week at Indian Educational School, Kuwait served as a powerful reminder of the need to combat corruption and promote integrity within the community.
