ICSK AMMAN ORGANIZES THE AWARD CEREMONY OF ARTS FEST- AURA 2024
The Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman Branch proudly celebrated the Award Ceremony of Aura Arts Fest 2024-25. It was held on 1st June 2024 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The grand ceremony was to felicitate and honour the meritorious students from classes KG to 10 for their outstanding achievements in an array of events ranging from Solo, group songs and dances, painting, elocution, debate, essay writing, poetry writing, character portrayal, quiz to name a few. It was a grand gala graced by distinguished dignitaries like members of the school board, parents, staff and students.
The programme began with the recitations from the Holy Quran followed by the National Anthems of Kuwait and India. The students from KG to Class 10 dazzled the event with euphonious and mellifluous songs, stupendous and spectacular dances which totally enraptured and enthralled everyone.
The chief guest of the event was Mr. Shyam Sundar, Country Head, Oriental Insurance Company, Kuwait. The other dignitaries who adorned the dais were Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Honorary Chairman, Mr. Azharuddin Amer Mohammed, Honorary Secretary and Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Honorary Vice Chairman representing the Board of Trustees. Also present were our own Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair, Vice- Principal Dr. Mary Isaac, the Principals, Vice- Principals and Deputy Vice- Principals of all the branches of The Indian Community School Kuwait.
Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair extended a warm and hearty welcome to every one present. He lauded the children for their exceptional accomplishments. He advised the parents to encourage their children and help nurture their innate talents and the staff for their assiduous and meticulous work.
In his address to the students, the Chief Guest Mr. Shyam Sundar congratulated all the students for their tremendous achievements. In his thought provoking and motivational speech, he urged the parents and teachers to cultivate and aid in blossoming the inherent gift the children possess. He praised the school for organising such an event where the children could showcase their flair and aptitude in activities other than the set curriculum which help in developing a well- rounded personality among the children.
More than 600 Prizes were awarded to the winners of all the events spreading over 5 categories and 82 competitions. It was an inspiring and satisfying sight to witness the children receiving the trophies and certificates with great happiness. The highest awards, Kalatilak and Kalaprathibha for being all-round achievers were presented to the students in each category. Among the gamut of non-academic achievements feted, the academic excellence was also recognised by presenting the awards to the school and subject toppers of the class X, CBSE board exam (2023-2024).
Vice- Principal, ICSK Amman, Dr. Mary Isaac delivered the vote of thanks. After conveying her gratitude to the dignitaries, she extended her thanks to all the children for their whole hearted and the respective parents for their encouragement and staunch support. She complimented all the staff members and the support staff for their genuine efforts.
The event concluded leaving the guests and participants cherishing the memories of the Arts Fest- Aura 2024.
